Hello! I am a 4th year teacher in Michigan. I teach second grade this year. I have one student that came about a month ago that speaks only Spanish. We do not have many ELL's in our school and I have no experience nor do I speak Spanish. He will be repeating with me next year. Any advice? I looked to email you on your blog but didn't see one. Any advice would be so greatly appreciated!

I love this resource. Thanks. One thing I didn't see on the template to print was the questions in English and Spanish, saying What parts of the animal's body helps it to survive? The one that you had kids glue on paper with their bird or giraffe. I'd love to get a copy of that and plan to use this in my bird unit. Great for ELLs and all kids!

I love the idea, but I do have a problem with the wording of the questions, such as, "How a beak help animals?" It doesn't quite make sense. It should be, "How does a beak help animals?" The wording should be fixed, or get rid of the question marks. Same thing for the Spanish on the flaps. Thanks!

I was getting this ready to use in class when I noticed that the page with "Hot chocolate taste like ..." should read "Hot chocolate tastes like ..."
Crazy, eh? I've been hammering my students about verb forms and this is actually kind of a cute mistake.
