By highlighting the words (which happen to be about the Industrial Revolution) it was my hope that you could replace it with whatever subject your class might be exploring.
The overview and snapshots do show the Industrial Revolution though.

Hello, I downloaded your Interactive Notebook file. I have some questions about how you use it. Do students divide each sheet of paper into two columns? Or do they use the front of one sheet and the back of the previous page as the two sides? Hope that makes sense. How do you explain interactivity to the students? I really like the idea and would love to have a lengthy conversation with you about it. I am brainstorming about requirements for next year and this idea sound intriguing.

Hi Carla - I LOVE the interactive notebook - I have them use a spiral notebook - open on their desk. So I think that would be the font of one sheet and the back of the previous page. I start with it at the beginning of the year - and I hang up on the left and right sides of my white board the examples of what would be on each side of the notebook - for example I hang up the following words:
LEFT: pictures, cartoons, responses, think-pair-share, connections to other classes
RIGHT: teacher notes, book questions, etc.

Hi Mary, I am not sure which product listing you are looking at - can you tell me the file name? The few things that I posted as PDFs are that way because of the irregular (and fun!) fonts that I used to create them. If you want them in MSWord format so you can edit them, I would be happy to send them to you with the fonts that would need to be installed to view them properly - but again, I am not sure which file you are talking about.
