This is a beautiful unit and includes everything it says, but to be honest, I just expected a little more from it. I thought the activities would be meatier and more involved. It includes 5 fables which is nice, so if that's what you're looking for it's great. But the vocab is 4 terms related to fables and nothing beyond that, and the graphic organizer for writing is the one featured in the preview. I like the graphic organizer, but I guess I wrongly thought there would be more to it to put a writing activity/lesson together. The anchor chart is a blank piece of paper with a blank bulleted list that says About Fables on the top, and the handout is a list of 5 terms to match with their definitions. The action charts is the graphic organizer featured in the preview that says Read, Think, Discuss, Write, and nothing more. I'm honestly not trying to be negative, just thought it was a little light. I will wrap up by saying that this is probably best for grades 3 & 4, maybe even 2, but a little too simple for 5th grade in my opinion.
