I was so excited to find this. I decorated my classroom with owls this year and many of my gifts from students have owl related. I've been looking for something for their end of the year treat and this will be a perfect topper! Thanks for making this!
Thanks! Surprisingly, my students do, too! When we finish a book they are actually excited to see what the writing prompt is. That's a far cry from the beginning of the year when they'd moan and groan over writing.
Sorry to hear that. This is how we use it. We say the line in a sing-songy voice (e.g.: "shake your hand" but drag out the "a" sound in "hand", then say "a, a" to practice to sound at the end). Students wiggle/shake that body part while saying the poem.
Really, you can make it fit your needs. Whatever works best for you.
I loved these tags! I used them for an end of year gift for my students, and they thoroughly enjoyed them! I got so many notes from them saying "Owl miss you too!"
I'm sorry to hear that you weren't able to use it all with your students. I was hoping the differentiation I included would help with that...I know it helped my young students.
Thanks! I am creating them as we read the books, that way I can base the writings on the book and what we talked about while reading it. It takes us about a week and a half to get through one book, so the next one will be coming out soon. Is there a certain one you are looking for?

Are you able to change the text in this once you purchase it? or is it not a template?
I guess it really isn't a song. I use it more as a poem. We say the line in a sing-songy voice (e.g.: "shake your hand" but drag out the "a" sound in "hand", then say "a, a" to practice to sound at the end). Students wiggle/shake that body part while saying the poem. Hopefully that makes sense.
