Thanks for leaving me a message about this. I had actually specifically picked fonts for this that were a little less traditional based on an article that I read from Princeton that said that said using fonts that are a little harder to read help students retain more information. I have all Office 2010. I have tried in Word, Power Point and Publisher. When I choose insert picture, these files never appear. I have to click on all files to even see them. When I choose one it gives me a blank box and says they fail to show.

Have you extracted them from the zip file yet? Download 7-zip and try re-downloading the file. When you open it, choose open with 7-zip. Then select all of the files and click "extract" at the top. Choose where on your computer you want to save them to. Then, try to insert them from wherever you saved them to. Let me know if that works!

In Word or PowerPoint (or whichever program you use to create resources), you can insert the picture into the program (it differs depending on which program/version, but is usually under insert > picture). You can then make it whatever size you want or rotate it if you need to. Then you can insert text boxes over it to create something. This is usually easier in PowerPoint. If you use Word or have a file that's already created, you can insert it, then right click it and choose send to back, or choose to have it be behind the text. I hope that helps a little bit. If you're still confused, let me know which program/which version of it you use and I can give your directions that are more clear!

I have made custom sets for other people based on the content they're working on (both of the CVC games and all three of the wilsons games were done based on product requensts). I bought your awesome job poster and was wondering if you could add one more job for me...One person will be responsible for putting all of their behavior clips back to home plate, their lunch count back to lunch box, and flipping their sticks back over so we are ready for the next day. I'm think pack up helper....or end of day help? I don't know if you can think of something cuter lol. Would you be able to make that for me? Thanks so much!

You have 2 CVC Uno card games listed. One says Nonsense CVC Uno and the other says CVC Uno. ARe they both the same? Also, will you be making any more UNO card games. I am teaching the Wilson Reading System and use all of you UNO games. I'd love to see more. Any certified Wilson or Orton-Gillingham teacher would be interested in using these.

Ms Jessica (TpT Seller)
Kindergarten words tend to differ from school to school, so I created the item based on the Dolch word lists. This set has the dolch pre-primer words, which are typically covered in kindergarten. Sometimes the Primer words are covered in Kindergarten as well, and at times schools do even more. You can get information about which words are in each Dolch list here:

Can you give me some pointers on editing the make your own ones. I have cleared the wording to replace with my own but some strips won't accept a copy and paste. I must be doing it wrong.

That's very odd! What version of PowerPoint are you using... Mac or PC?
I'm wondering if somehow the text box got deleted? A few ideas to try... Redownload the original file from tpt to be sure that all of the text boxes are there. When you go to copy/paste in the text, highlight the text in one text box and choose "paste special" instead of just "paste" (depending on which version of PowerPoint you have, this may be under Edit>Paste Special, or under the drop down arrow under where it says paste in your top bar). When you choose paste special, try choosing unformatted text.
Let me know how that works and if not I'll think of some other ideas!

I currently follow your blog and was so excited to see your Prezi presentation. I have to do 41 presentations in our elementary schools about how your Everyday Math webpage that each child is assigned to can help students help themselves in math. I'm very use to PowerPoint. but I need my presentation to hold the attention of 100 students in a room as I am the "Assembly." My question to you is whether I can pay you for helping me create an exciting PRETZI presentation. I can create some of the PowerPoint slides, but I need someone with vision...

ltew re: 22 Halloween/October Borders and Frames!
If I want to use these as a border on a word document how would I do that? Currently when I open it the file will not let me type in it, all I can do is print it out. Thanks Laura

In Microsoft Word, do Insert, then choose "picture" then "from file" or "picture file" (depending on which version of microsoft word you have). Then you can do"Insert" and "text box" to insert a text box over the picture.

Absolutely! When you download the file, it is initially in a .zip format. You can unzip this using 7-zip or the extractor built right into the computer. Once it's open you'll see all of the frames. I think the easiest way to put text on the frames is to use PowerPoint. You can use the text box feature right in PowerPoint to create a text box on top of the frame. If you want to use one of the landscape images PowerPoint should start up with the right orientation, but if you want to use a portrait border, you can use this tutorial at my blog to turn the PowerPoint slide portrait so that the picture lines up better:

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
This is my fourth year working with Kindergarten, prior to that I worked at a preschool. I love working with the little ones!
MY TEACHING STYLE
