I like how the presentation begins with a focus on how food gets to our table. I would have liked for the focus to broaden to the end of the presentation, and instead of thanking Chavez for protecting those who provide us food, thank him for bringing light to the injustices of our society and demonstrating non-violent ways for anyone to make a difference. Overall great presentation.

I wish I had known you had to purchase the articles that are used for the activities included. A bit expensive for 3 websites and 10 pages (and 10 pages of answers to the questions) of questions of a book and an article you have to buy additionally for $6.99.

This was great resources, however, I was unable to get the books in time for my lessons so the questions were not as helpful as I would have liked. I was hoping for more general questions. They did help me in creating my own general questions. Thanks for some great websites and videos!

I use the paychecks as a weekly progress report. By this time of year, I keep the paychecks at the students' desks and they mark them when I tell them to. I also fill them out when I check their homework to keep track of assignments and make sure I hold them accountable for incomplete homework. The parents love the feedback and the students respond well to the visual representations of behavior/homework. At the auctions, I have parents donate some items and I add some as well. I auction off erasers, mechanical pencils, stickers, I burn CD's of my favorite music I play in class, small notebooks, books, stuffed animals, silly bands, etc. -- Hope this helps!
