I am a 2nd grade teacher in Kansas. I spend my time teaching, blogging, creating lessons and coaching middle school volleyball. This is my 10th year of teaching! More than anything, I love teaching 2nd grade and making things for my classroom! I started in grades 3 and 1/2 combo. I think I've found my spot with grade 2, but love that I know what to expect from both first and third graders. I hope to share so you can enjoy as well! My blog is at www.love2teach2.blogspot.com. Check out photos there and find freebies as well! First and third grade teachers, please don't be intimidated by my 2nd grade blog! You are more than welcome!
Cooperative learning, differentiation and engagement are the best types of learning activities! My instant math centers were made for this. Stick them on a ring and tack them up by your math wall with a tpin. Or, better yet, use my math drawer labels and you wil find them in an instant. I want to create things that can be pulled off the shelf quickly and that children beg for!
I've received a Golden Apple Award, KARSP Grant, CUA Grant, Donors Choose Grant and more!
Masters in Curriculum and Instruction Teaching Degree K-9 Kagan Cooperative Learning (3 weeks) Orton Gillingham (2 years) Endorsement in ESL
I believe that we get back what we put into education. Children deserve the best! Treat each child as if they are your own because to someone, they are the world!
