My teaching philosophy embraces the idea of cross curricular instruction with a focus of social justice and critical thinking. In creating a classroom that is inclusive and validates the personal histories of my diverse body of students, I generate enthusiasm and a love for learning. I teach my students about themselves and about everyone around them. I am a hands-on, fun loving, passionate teacher who believes in treating students like young professionals. I establish high expectations for my students which encourage them to explore their capabilities and hidden potentials to the fullest. I design my curriculum from an anti-biased perspective, designing lessons to reach all ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic groups. My diverse body of students are made to feel important when their personal stories and histories are validated and reflected in my curriculum design.
