The header says: "I will compose and decompose 2-digit ?? in a variety of ways."
I'm also wondering if you include the cheerio and pretzel glueing pages in the stapled student booklet or do you leave those free so that the glue can better dry? How many of the "We're Eating up Place Value" sheets does each student usually use during their center time?

Well I'm certainly batting a hundred! I even used this page with my own class and didn't catch the error! I have made the correction and you can get the change by downloading the unit again. Thank you for your support and I appreciate you bringing this to my attention.
I do not include the cheerio and pretzel activity page in the booklet. It needs to have time to dry so I leave it out. I had the kids complete 2 pages during center time.

I assure you that the file is okay but it is frustrating when that happens. A couple of things...First, for whatever reason some people have trouble opening TpT files at school. It has something to do with the server. I don't know why that happens. I personally have that problem when I buy something. Sometimes it takes me several attempts to actually get it to open and other times no luck. So it might work better at home. If you are at school and need it right away I would suggest that you contact TpT immediately. Their link is at the bottom of the home page and they are really good about getting back to you quickly.
I hope you can get this fixed quickly.

Well that is frustrating!!! The files are fine so there is something going on with the download. Just a couple of questions... For whatever reason I (and others) have trouble downloading purchases at school. For some reason it has to do with the school's server. If you were trying at school I would suggest trying it again at home. Also, you might need an updated version of Adobe. The final thing I can suggest is that TpT finally told me that they were have a lot of trouble with Explorer and they suggested that I change over to Google Chrome. Once I did that the issues I was having with downloading all disappeared. If none of that works or don't apply to you then contact TpT immediately. Their link is at the bottom of the home page and they are really good about getting back to you quickly! I am truly sorry you are having problems and I hope it gets solved quickly! Email me again if it doesn't get fixed and I will try to contact TPT on my end.

There are 2 "little" things that I think could make it perfect:
1) Adding "Remembrance Day" under November on the Months and Holidays page
2) Numbering the pages and adding an index which lists the main word categories and their corresponding page(s) so that the students can more quickly find the page they need.

I have added Remembrance Day and Veteran's Day to November as you requested.
As for the pages numbers - I did think about adding page numbers and a table of contents, however, if I do that then a purchaser is forced to use all the pages. If they only wanted to use certain pages then they would not be able to use the table of contents and they would have to white-out page numbers. I would think that this would aggravate a buyer. For this reason I have not added page numbers. I hope you understand:)

Do you plan to offer a compilation of Gr. 1 products at a group price or any sales before next September. I noticed on your blog you held a sale in June last year when someone suggested it. I love your work and I own many of your products. I just purchased the My Language Booklet (6 weeks of daily skills). I printed off tonight and realized that I don't believe my first graders can skale their writing down small enough to fit on the 1/2 page booklet. Is it possible to get this product to where it is a full page instead, so they have enough space to write their answers?

Hi Natalie,
I will be splitting my class into two groups tomorrow. My second group will continue their reading lessons. My first group has completed their reading lessons. I need something for my first group to do when I am conducting my reading lesson with my second group (~ 5 mins). They're in grade two.
Which pack do you think is the more challenging of the two: 'Daily Language Skills' (sets 1 and 2) or 'My Language Booklets' ?

Hi Shawna,
Hmmm - interesting question. Couple of things to consider. I think "My Language Booklets" might be a bit more challenging because there is minimal picture support. These pages are 1/2 pages so they are required to write smaller - grade 2s sometimes find that a bit trickier. I found my kids needed a bit more assistance with these. But that could have been my group of kids. I used this with my 2/3 split last year.
I have personally preferred the "Daily Language Skills" (set 1 and 2) for my grade 2s this year. They are full page so the kids have no trouble writing in them. More visual support so I have expected them to complete the pages independently.
I hope that helps but if you need more input write me again:)

I made this unit for my grade 1s because they have to do nonstandard measurement. My grade 2s did standard measurement (cm). I would ideally say it is more suited to grade one but it would work if your grade 2s needed an early introduction to the concept of measurement. I hope this helps:)

Hi Natalie - well.......I printed the jesters off again today (through the school copier) and they came out the right size. It appears that my colour printer increased the length so I will have to re-check my settings when I print. I'm sorry for taking your time up with this. I knew that your stuff is ALWAYS accurate and I buy everything you put out so I figured it was me, but needed to check. Thanks again for your time and looking into it. I think that was the only page that did that as the other colour prints seemed fine.

I am so glad to hear that the center measurement were fine. Don`t computers drive you absolutely crazy sometimes?! Sorry to hear that you have to re-print it but glad there were no errors. Now embarrassingly I have to admit that I made a couple of silly errors in my geometry pack "Knights of the Sphere Table" which I think you bought. I think I might have been sleeping!!!! I am keeping my fingers crossed that you haven't already printed and laminated everything! Just download the unit again and you will get the revisions. Reprint pages 25, 29, 42, 50 and 62. They were silly little mistakes but I am embarrassed none-the-less! Thank you again for all your support ~ you're the best!

Okay it might be my post March Break brain. They had the pictures out and we were using the red face measuring sticks. I will look at it again. When I sat down with the two doing it we were measuring the side and it seemed like they were off by about 1/2 a face :) - my best math student pointed it out to me. It seemed strange to me so I thought I would ask. Thanks Natalie!

Okay I am confused:) I have no idea why you are not getting exact measurements. I did this with my own class and the measurements were exact. I just pulled the activity out and re-measured all the jester sticks using the red "cube" ruler and I got exact measurements for every jester stick. I have a couple of questions...
(1) Your kids are measuring the jester stick pictures and not the jester with the answers?
(2) I have my kids measure from the top of the card to the bottom of the card not the picture. The reason I did this was to avoid a child making a mistake because their "ruler" was on an angle - they lined it up perfectly along the edge of the card. Were you having your kids do that, too?
(3) The cube "rulers" that you have them using are the red ones?
Please get back to me because I am completely puzzled by this! I can appreciate that you would definitely not find this acceptable and I want to make this right with you:)

If you take another look at the unit you will see that I have already duplicated the pages you are referring to. One page has the word spelled "colour" and the other one has it spelled as "color." I always include both the Canadian and American spelling of words so everyone is happy:)

I bought the Froggy plays soccer. I'm trying to put the idiom flap book together. Your directions says to fold it. When you fold it... the Name page or title page is on the back and the idioms will be on the front cover of the flapbook. Is that right? The line sheet is then stapled behind the idioms, so that page you cut in half.

Yes you have got it right! The lined paper is cut in half and each child then gets 3 boxes. They write the answer in the square and glue it behind the correct flap. This was a bit tricky to explain:)

I know that I cannot download properly at school so that might be the issue. You could also try an updated version of adobe. So I have uploaded the file again. I am sooooo sorry for the inconvenience I have never had this happen before! Go back to "My Purchases" and download the unit again - hopefully you get the right unit this time...lol! Could you please let me know if this works so I can stop worrying! I just saw your Energy unit, unfortunately I just finished teaching that unit, but I was wondering if you were planning on doing any other science (grade 1 or 2) units? I teach in Toronto so I love that your materials are based on the Ontario Curriculum:)

A great deal of my time has been spent getting my math strands all covered for both grades. I made the Energy unit because I couldn't really find a unit that would work. The biggest problem I have when I think about putting science units together is the availability of clip art - which really "makes" the unit pop. I am definitely making a communities unit for grade one and I am also making a Communities Around the World unit for grade two. That is my absolute favourite unit to teach and I have been buying graphics for this unit as I see them. It will be a big unit. As my math "to-do" list slows down I really do want to work on the science but I don't know if I could give you absolute time lines. What are you looking for specifically and what are your time lines? I would really love to help you out if I could and it would help me, too! TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have been teaching 19 years. I have taught grades 1, 2, 3, and special education. I have taught split grades for several years. This year I am teaching a grade 1/2 split. Every year brings new adventures!
