I just received a teaching award from the Freedoms Foundation on March 18th, 2012. The Leavey Award from the Freedoms Foundation gives special recognition to outstanding teachers of America's free enterprise and capitalism. Out of all the submissions from around the country, I was one of the few chosen.

I graduated from Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame with a degree in elementary education and a minor in mathematics. I graduated with highest honors, Summa Cum Laude, and my GPA was 3.82. The student in the front of the classroom, constantly raising her hand...well that was me. I live in Illinois with my daughter Kaden, son Clark, husband Ken, and two dogs Chloe and Layla.
