I have been studying these concepts for years in relationship to nature. I have never found anything close to this exceptional presentation. Every math, science and art teacher should work together in a school and use this presentation! The visuals and photos add significantly to the explanation of concepts introduced. It is beautifully done! We need to teach our children, beginning at an early age, about their world. By understanding nature, children develop and strengthen an appreciation for their physical world. Our children will determine the importance of taking care of our world.

How refreshing…someone who thinks like me! You’re right this should be taught to every student but is not. The reason: most people are never taught the connections between science, math and the arts! Loving nature, math and art, I read and discovered their relationship. The work and knowledge in your products are unbelievable. Heathcote Art & Science Center sounds wonderful and you should let teacher know about it!

Thanks for the compliments! Thanks to Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons' generous contributors allow folks like me to utilize some very hard to get photos. Perhaps someday I will be able to travel out more to these tropical countries to acquire a nice album of my own. I'm so thankful, in the mean time. Glad you like that PowerPoint. That's fantastic that your photos are a big hit. I think it's a brilliant idea to offer your photography. I love using real nature photography in my work. TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have fourteen years of K-12 education and most of my experience has been in private education. Since 2003, I have studied progressive education and I consider myself an alternative educator. I specialize in thematic nature connecting units integrating the arts, Math, Writing, Science, Literature and Ancient History. I have seven years of experience leading youth outdoor activities including basic birding, animal tracking, stream and pond studies, hiking, plant ID and primitive skills.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I consider myself a facilitator offering youth tools, short powerful teaching nuggets and to move out of the eager learners way allowing them freedom to explore their curiosities in a free exploration learning center set up. I am there as a guide and mentor to assistant my students in their learning journey. I believe humans learn best when they're most passionate and desirous to learn something. The real juice for a learner is when he/she is excited to learn. If they are not interested in learning something, they probably won't learn it.
