Thanks for doing this, can you make one for 6th grade in each of the categories? I am teaching a 5/6 combo next year and both grades are new to me. I would love to have these for 6th grade too.
I am totally and completely in love with this product. (Except for question #1 for either chapter 5 or 6 - It is mistyped and not actually a question.) I love that it is in a book format. I had my kids put it together, complete it after each chapter, and hand it in for one of their final grades of the year!
Oh goodness! So embarrassed. Thank you for noticing and letting me know. No matter how many times I went over this and none of my kids mentioned it. Thank you! I will fix. If you send me your email, I will send you the updated corrected version. My apologies!
I like the booklet format, and the mix of activities that appeal to a variety of learning styles. it is also thorough, including pre-reading and end of novel activities. Plan to use it to go along with the required summer reading for rising 5th graders. thanks!
I'm placing it in my curriculum binder immediately!
Not only are they kid friendly but they are teacher friendly. Nichole made it very easy for a teacher to weed through the Essential Standards so he/she knows exactly what to teach all within an easy to read reference guide!!

jacquelyn2028 re: 5th Grade Common Core "I Can" Checklist - Science
Will these be the new science standards they are working on now? or are they ones for just NC?
As far as I know, these are just NC Essential Standards. I noticed my mistake and forgot to upload the updated version. My apologies for any inconvenience or misunderstandings!

Not a question....just 2 tiny suggestions....
-This is good stuff -- add your name small to the bottom of your freebie so people can find you again!
- I just hand wrote the standard numbers on my copy (Ex 5.OA.1)....that might be a quick easy addition to your freebie that teachers would appreciate.
(you can delete questions.....you don't have to leave this post for everyone to see!)
Thank you for your suggestions! I appreciate your thoughts and taking the time to comment! I will make those changes this summer when I have time to post more.
