Hi Nicole! My name is Renee Lacourciere and I am an SLP. I will be presenting, along with a co-presenter, during the poster session at ASHA Schools in Pittsburgh later this month (July). I would like to use the image you provide as a thumbnail for your "Ultimate Common Core Bundle" as part of the materials that will be available for people to refer and then possibly purchase if they visit our poster. The title of our poster is: "The ASHA Leadership Development Program: 2 Perspectives." My project was about the SLP implementing the CCSS and your resources have been helpful to me and I'm sure you have had success in helping others, too. Thank you and if you're at ASHA Schools, please come visit me :~)) This may seem a silly question but are you, in fact, an SLP? I don't see that mentioned specifically in your profile.

Hi Renee!
I am thrilled that you are sharing my CCSS resources at ASHA Schools! Yes, I am an SLP in the public schools. I will not be at the ASHA Schools conference in Pittsburgh but will be at the ASHA conference in Orlando later this year (I will have a table).
Just to make sure, people will be directed back to my store for purchases, correct? If you wouldn't mind, I would love for you to refer them to my website (www.speechpeeps.com) and my teacherspayteachers store (http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Nicole-Allison) for any purchases. It's always nice to remind buyers that one purchase is good for one download, not to circulate it through their entire district.
Again, thanks so much for sharing. I am loving that these resources that I created to help myself wade through the CCSS are helpful for other SLPs! If you are doing a drawing or giveaway at your table, I would be willing to give one Ultimate Common Core Bundle away as a gift. Just let me know!

I would be happy to pay for the update if needed . I'm just a "little" type A, and would like everything to match. :o) Please let me know. Thanks so

Thanks,

I *love* your ultimate common core data collection binder and use it weekly!! I have added my own sections for additional goals that I work on (multiple meaning words, main idea, drawing conclusions, etc.) It is bothering the LIFE out of me that I don't have them listed on the table of contents. Is there any chance you would be willing to send me an editable version of the ToC page ONLY or a non-editable version with some blank spaces? (wimer.jennifer @ gmail . com)

This is not really a question, but a comment. I was looking at the preview of the spring/summer non-fiction (I think that's the title...not sure, though!) and in the passage about tulips, there is a misspelled word. Hi Nicole- I have a question about your Ultimate Data Collection Binder that I purchased. I work with middle school students right now, and purchased this because it works for every grade level. I want to use this tool to establish a baseline as well as a goal for a new IEP. I want to clarify how to identify which common core standard the task aligns to. For example, on page 49 for Context Clues level 2, it says "L 4a. Use sentence-level context as a clue to the meaning of a word or phrase.". Does that mean a 4th grade standard and that this task is too low for a 7th grade student? I hope that makes sense, I just want to clarify what task a student should be able to do for their grade level. Thank you.

Hi, Nicole love your stuff and will most probably be a common visitor to your store. I love that everything is so diligently done, and helps me become a more independent speech pathologist. I have a silly question for you! I saw your bulletin board for articulation, and some of your stuff on articulation. A lot of them require the clinician to say the words and the student to repeat it. Isn't this considered a model? Shouldn't we be assessing how the child says the words independently? Thanks
February 22, 2014 Report inappropriate comment
Nicole Allison
Nicole Allison  (TpT Seller)
Yes-you are right! I feel that there are two different ways of measuring progress-one with a model and one without. If I say the word, then I indicate in my data that it was "modeled" To obtain a response without a model, the student must be a reader and read the words. Another way you can do this is describe the word and see if the student can guess it (without saying it yourself). Hope this helps!

I have one question I was hoping you could help me with-Do you have any suggestions for aligning a direction-following goal with a CCSS? I Love the Curriculum Language Assessments grade 6-12. Is there any way that you can have an "add on" to the middle school level? I think more questions under each area would be a little more helpful. This is the best product !!!!
Also, do you have anything for the students in middle school, that are not going to receive a standard diploma? They are anywhere from preschool level to 2nd grade reading level. Would your K-5 work? If so, is there a discount if a variety of materials were purchased from you? Thanks! Happy New Year :) R

Hello Roberta and thanks for reaching out!
I am currently working on a product that would have more questions under each area! Look for it towards the middle/end of January!
Your second question can be a tough one. I guess it depends on if reading is their biggest obstacle. If so, I would read the questions aloud to them and then gauge their understanding of the language skills. If they are functioning in all areas at the elementary level and are not expected to be on grade level (then the Common Core wouldn't apply to them) and I would use the younger levels to try to gauge where they are. I currently sell one huge Common Core Bundle (http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Ultimate-Speech-and-Language-Common-Core-Bundle-863901) but do not offer a discount otherwise. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hi Nicole,
I just did something really stupid!! I just bought your product Articulation for reading and conversation. That's not the stupid part, I love it. The stupid part is I already won it from you!!! I had it on my wish list and accidentally clicked in a cyber Mon. frenzy. How should I handle this?

Hello Allison. I love your Articulation for Reading and Conversation product!! My middle school students do too! Are the vocalic r pages available separately? I purchased the product a month ago and don't know how to get the new pages. Or is it just the free one with ar?
Thanks for your work! Love the format!!

Hi Jane! I'm so glad you like them! If you go up to the top titled "My Purchases" you will be able to redownload it and you will find the vocalic /r/ pages toward the end of the document. Let me know if you have any other questions!

I am in love this this product preview! Will you be offering an elementary school level packet? I do not have any social skills students on my caseload, but I am sure there are students that could benefit from a group!

I am looking to subscribe to Clipart.com. I am wondering where you find the information as to the "terms of use" when using the clipart in a commercial product. Everything I read on their site is lengthy and does not answer my question.

Hi Nicole,
I absolutely love this! I just have one question. I was looking over the statements and noticed that SL 1 for K-1 was repeated more that once. Is this a mistake or should there be multiple copies of all the statements in the cans? Thanks for your help!

Hello and thanks for the question! It is intended to be repeated. I was running out of ideas for Articulation so I repeated some of the easier, quicker ones that kids could pull with more frequency. If they start pulling them too much, feel free to take the dublicate articulation ones out. I'm so glad you like it!

Hi Allison,
I have an iPad 4, using iOS 7. When you open No Print Bundle pack from your email, which program is it using? For example, when I open other attachments through my email, it automatically chooses the program for me (as long as it's loaded on the iPad), but I can't tell which program you used to create it. Maybe if I make sure the right program is loaded, it will work properly. Right now, I have to choose a pdf program.

Okay, I think I found the problem! If you just open it through email or dropbox on iOS 7, the hyperlinks don't work. However, if I open it through an app like Adobe, everything works. So....try downloading Adobe (free) and see if it works. Thanks for your patience!

I recently purchased the Curriculum Based Language Assessments for Grades K-5, and I love it. Is there a purchase price for a district to purchase it for the SLP staff?

I'm so glad you like it! Yes, when you click "purchase," you can choose to purchase multiple licenses. Each additional license after the first price is half-price. So each one would be only $3 after the first purchase!

I'm having the same issue that bevdunbar described. It does work if I open it through email, but the the problem is I don't have wifi at school, so I was planning to use it through Dropbox (marking it as a favorite so I can still open it w/o wifi)

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hello there! This is my third year of teaching speech and language skills to grades K-12. Yes, that's right-13 grades and I love every one of them! The best thing about teaching speech and language skills is that you can teach across the entire curriulum. All subjects require students to have good listening and speaking skills and that makes my job super fun AND interesting!
