TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have been teaching for 6 years. I began my teaching career in Phoenix Arizona as a 3rd grade teacher. I taught in Arizona for 4 years before moving back to New Mexico where I have taught 3rd and now 2nd grade.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I am a very hands on teacher. I enjoy using a lot of cooperative learning structures. I allow my students to do the majority of the talking in order to expand their learning. If you were to walk into my classroom you will several things going on at once and each one of my students is actively engaged in a learning activity.
HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT
In 2010, I was nominated for teacher of the year. Just having a nomination was amazing to me since I had only been teaching for 5 years at the time.
