I appreciate your question and asking before purchasing. Most of my products are geared toward 2nd-5th grade depending on the activity. I probably would not recommend this for a regular 8th grade class. If you are teaching students with special needs, this would challenging enough. Otherwise, I am not sure this would be the best purchase for you.

It is a zipfile, so try right clicking on the file and click extract files. It should open for you with no troubles. The text is too difficult. The packet includes graphic organizers and activities to go along with the book. There are answers for pages that require specific answers, but the packet is designed to be open and there could be multiple answers. There is no rubrics included. I hope this helps.

I am SO sorry you are having issues. I feel terrible because I really don't know what to tell you on this. I do know that Adobe recently did an update and maybe you need to update your Adobe Reader. Other than that, if you have tried all of the things I have suggested, I think it would be best if you contacted TpT for technical support. I have opened and printed the file with no trouble, so it has to be some kind of technical issue and to be honest, I am not sure how to fix it.
TpT does offer the option of getting the file emailed directly to you. If you click on the My Purchases page, there is a red "downloading difficulties" option on the right side of the screen. You can click on that it will give you the option to have files emailed to you.
I am sorry that I haven't been much help, but if you have done all of the suggestions I have made, it is a problem that I don't know how to correct.

Well, your question is kind of difficult to answer as the activities are not necessarily a list of vocabulary words. It is a project in which the students demonstrate they understand concepts. Yes, there would be some vocabulary with like food chains (producer, consumer, decomposer), but it's mostly about the concepts. All of the concepts that are covered in this ABC book are given in the description.

Hi! I just have to say I love so many of your products. I have purchased several already. I teach 4th grade and am currently doing your original Mythology Unit with my students. I started last week and plan to conclude the unit this Friday. So far they love it! I was so excited to see this new Mythology addition to your store. I plan to purchase it, but wanted to first make you aware of a small error I noticed as I was reviewing the sample pictures. It seems in the King Midas story that it says "when he suddenly he had a brilliant idea." I think one of the "hes" needs to be removed. I love that you have rewritten the myths in kid-friendly versions. I have noticed so many of them are not completely appropriate for fourth graders, even the stories in your favorite book that you suggested. I had to hunt that book down on Amazon! Lol! I look forward to combining this unit with the other one. There seems to be so many great new additions. Thanks again for all you do!

I have corrected the "he" issue. :) The problems you mentioned are exactly why I decided to make "student friendly" myths. I wanted to cringe every time we read something about someone being drunk or Zeus and all his many women. Those topics are just not appropriate for 4th graders.

Thank you so much for your purchase. I am glad you like the unit. The spelling Hercules is actually the Roman mythology spelling for his name. In Greek Mythology, his name was spelled Heracles. I hope this clarifies why my version of the story is spelled the way it is.

i went to copy this off and it will not copy off I tried several times and the printer says it has problems printing the rest off. I get 4 pages and then it flashes- is there something I can do to get it to print the whole thing?? Has anyone else had problems printing??

I am sorry that you are having trouble printing. This has seem to be the technical issue for a lot of people this week, not just for my customers, but other sellers as well. The only two fixes that I know for this issue are the following:
1) Make sure that your Adobe Reader is up to date and that you have the most current version installed.
2) When printing the pdf, choose the "advance" button at the bottom of the screen and click the box, "print as images". This is another trick that works.
If these two options do not work, I would suggest that you contact TpT for technical support. They may have other suggestions for helping you print the document, especially if it is a printer issue.

My suggestion would be to open TpT using a different browser and try to download the product. That worked for me. I just checked the download on two different computers and it opened with no issues, so I don't know exactly how to fix the problem because not everyone is having issues. The file is quite large, so I included a pdf file of the whole unit and then pdfs of the unit broken into smaller pieces. Have you tried printing the smaller pieces rather than the entire unit at once? Another trick to try is when printing, instead of sellecting all pages on the printer options, select defined pages like 1-12. I just purchased your states of matter packet and am a little confused on how you do the mystery box. Do you call each student up one at a time to look inside the box? Is there only one item in the box or do you put several items in one box? Or do you make 5-10 mystery boxes each with an item in them? Sorry, I read over it a few times and like to idea, but can't seem to figure out the logistics. I also had another teacher read it and we couldn't really figure out how to do it.

The unit does have an answer key for one of the activities that would have definite answers. Many of the activities are "experiments" and there are recording sheets for the students to record and analyze their data. There is no answer key for that. The unit is more about activities than a bunch of worksheets that would have "answers".

I am not sure why your printer is not printing the first six pages. I am not all that familiar with "printing issues"...the only thing I know to suggest that works for me anytime I am having printing problems is to do the following:
Try the "Print as image" option. Click the Advanced button in the Print dialog box to find this option.
