I politely disagree with your comment, I have written IEPs for many years, given workshops and do know how to write measurable goals and objectives. There is really nothing
"creative" about this process. Thank you! I love high interest reading for kids and having the vocabulary list with definitions really support the kids' learning. I also had them do the word scramble after the reading so that they have a hint as to what the words could be. Thank you!

Old School...In our district/state we are now being asked to align our goals/objectives to the common core standards. This is both good and bad I believe, because the common core standards do not always align with what my students need. I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir though. Since we have to write our goals/objectives this way (until they change it again), I would love to see goals with matching objectives in the areas of reading, writing, and math specifically that align with the new common core standards. If you were you write those with KY's common core standards, I might would have to do a cartwheel I would be so excited. LOL! Thanks for your wonderful products.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I loved teaching for 30 years in a large urban district. I have taught for K to 8 with a particular fondness for 5th and 6th. A variety of settings kept life interesting. I have done resource, self contained, inclusion, co- teaching, school intervention specialist and regular ed. Due to budgets and student needs, I have always had to design and implement teacher made materials in my classroom and found great satisfaction in seeing these materials help students learn. I also loved sharing with other teachers. Collaboration is essential, teaching can be a lonely profession. It is now exciting to be able to publish these materials on TPT for others to continue to use.
MY TEACHING STYLE
Teach Every Child. Every level of student should have the opportunity to think, learn and, most importantly, participate in lessons with their peers. Modifications, accommodations and differentiated instruction help this to happen in your classroom. I use minimal clip art in most products so that you may utilize them with older struggling students, these students are often in inclusion classrooms and need work that looks like what their peers are doing. If you teach a self contained class or resource program the same holds true.
