I have been teaching for 15 years. I began my career teaching first grade after teaching my own children and scouts for 20 years. I taught preschool for 5 years while completing my Early Childhood Education Degree. I helped write the first curriculum to begin the 4 year program in Broken Arrow, then taught 4 year olds for 10 years before moving to teach Kindergarten for the last 5 years.

I believe young children learn through play. They are busy learners, not passive. They will fine active things to do, so I might as well plan the active things I want them to do.

After taking years off to raise my children, I returned to school to complete my degree at Oklahoma State University. My degree is FRCD/Early Childhood Education and am certified to teach PreK through 6th.

I have been married to my wonderful husband for 40+ years. I have 2 handsome sons, a beautiful daughter-in-law, and the best grandaughter ever!
