I loved the idea of making a tree filled with ornaments that tell the meaning of Christ's birth. However I didn't quite understand how to use the story portion. Are they suppose to be put in book format? If so, then that portion wasn't very creative or had anything for students to do on it.

Thank you for your comments. I tried to make the story useful as a resource. It can be used several ways depending on the level of your class and the time you have. One possibility is using it for a reading exercise in small groups or it can be read to the class and have them rewrite it using their words. I have also had classes where I had them copy each page onto paper so that the book was more created by them (also good for handwriting practice.)
As far a putting it together, I used the tree with the decorations as the last page of the story, putting it on an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper. The title cover and the story pages are on 1/2 sheets and stapled on top of the tree, covering the bottom of the tree. The tree becomes the last page of the book as seen in the picture. I hope this helps.
