lori macmichael  (TpT Seller) re: Activity Book: Seeing the World with a Sense of Wonder
what a beautiful book... It has inspired me to look at finding a copy of this book... although I teach grade 2/3 I think we may very well be able to do some of the lessons at least as demonstrations by myself and class debrief and discussion and wonderings before during and after... thank you so much for such a lovely piece... :) Lori

Hi Lori, So nice to hear from you. I used activities from the book in a friends 2nd grade class a couple of years ago - many activities work very well for that age.
The best would be if each of your students had their own copy to grow up with. For example, you might work with the book and then give them each a copy at the end of the year. Assuming you live in the US so shipping is not very expensive, I'd be happy to send you a classroom set for free if you (or your school) pay the shipping. Let me know if you would like this - best is email: peterkahan@att.net

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

25 years teaching math and science at Columbia Preparatory school in New York City and at the Dwight-Englewood School in Englewood, NJ.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I always been at the forefront of trying combine a strong demand for attentive learning in the "old-fashioned" way with having the students involved in many activities and projects. In addition, I have always tried to use the latest in technology, some of which has been very successful(like using computer interfacing in labs) and some of which is of dubious value (such as having all the students at Dwight-Englewood use tablet computers.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Just my own satisfaction at working very hard to teach at well as possible throughout my career.
