It's your favorite friends from Nordonia! We absolutely LOVE the Multiplication Sweet Treats and Division Pasta Party at our school! It has caught on at all of our elementary schools!! :-) The kids love it and it is a new craze! They are so positive and encouraging to each other too. We would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have addition and subtraction too! We want to start at the beginning of the year with addition and then move through all the operations! :-) Thank you so much!

All you have to do is go to scrappindoodles.com or search on TpT and search for clip art that you need and purchase the graphics. It would work ok as a read-aloud. The SMARTBoard serves as a visual for the students so they can see how food webs are formed.. Before I had a SMARTBoard I did this same activity except I created a food web with pictures. So you could find pictures of each animal mentioned in the food web and create your own web of animals.

I do have a question about the Quick Conversions - I want to make sure I am using it correctly. Do the division and multiplication arrows tell you which way to divide (for example the metric length - shouldn't we multiply when moving up mm - cm - m -km, and then divide on the way back down?)

Hello! The arrows that say "multiplication" in it faces toward the left because you if you take a larger unit (such as km), and break it down into smaller units (such as m), you will have MORE in quantity, you multiply. For example 1 km = 1,000m - so going from a bigger unit to a smaller unit, you multiple. If you go from a smaller unit to a larger unit, you divide because you have LESS in quantity. If you look at SB slide 11 it helps to explain the relationship. Hope this helps!

I'm sorry, but I can not issue refunds, only TpT can do that and unfortunately because of the digit nature (meaning, once downloaded you have the product forever-it's not like you can return it because it's already on your computer) of the product once a purchase, I don't believe refunds are issued. My unit is formated exactly how you have described. In the download you will find lesson plans that work through the novel chapter by chapter (some of the really short chapters have been combined) and students complete activities for each chapter. Students receive a Student Activity Packet (26 pages worth) to use throughout the unit. In the packet are sections to record vocabulary works, answer questions about the chapter, complete activities related to the chapters, and to answer a journal question about each chapter. The lesson plans also include the use of SMARTBoard slides to teach different skills. The unit focuses a lot of vocabulary development and awareness as the book's plot revolves mostly around learning new words.

Hi Lisa! Try two things: First, make sure you have the most recent updated version of Adobe reader. Second, try saving the document somewhere on your computer and then opening the file directly from Adobe instead of from the file that you saved it in.

My grade level and I taught this unit earlier this year and our students LOVED it and gained so much knowledge which we are still seeing them transfer and use throughout all academic areas. What we loved most was that the content correlates to our science curriculum that we teach later in the year. I was wondering if you had any intentions of creating any other comprehensive reading units. If so, we'll be your first buyers!!

I have an e-Beam (not sure if you are familiar, but it makes my whiteboard interactive when hooked to my computer) with the Smart notebook express software installed on my computer. Before I purchase this, will this file open on the software (Smart Notebook Express) I have installed?

Hi there, I honestly do not know if it would work or not. I didn't think that smartboard express let you use interactive slides, but I could be wrong. Have you tried looking on google to see if you could find an answer. Sorry! I wish I could give you more concrete information.

Hi, I'm having the same problem as a previous poster about the schedule cards not showing up in color. I have the most updated version of adobe and have tried both PC and Mac. They still have parts that are only black and white. Everything else is beautiful, though.
