I have taught Middle/High School for three years at an Alternative School specializing in students with Behavioral, Psychological and Emotional Disabilities. I believe that students learn when they are engaged in a curriculum that is relevent to their lives. I only expect my students to do work that I myself would complete. Students in my classroom have always found a warm environment where I hold them to the highest of achievement standards--expecting them to work at their personal best--not comparing them to their peers.
