The agree/disagree statements are a good tool to get students thinking about their own biases before reading the book. The questions all being about neighbors may limit students in identifying the messages in the book. This book is about much more than how a neighborhood gets along.
This was perfect for my lesson on the sun. I used this and a diagram of the sun in the students' notebooks. It had all the information for 5th Ca State Standard on the sun.
Great activitiy to introduce the novel. Saved me SO much time, Thanks!!!
