It's more of a journal math prompt center. The questions would be divided by subject so you can set questions out depending on what you want the students to work on. I recommend placing manipulatives at the center and requiring students to show their work and show their peers how they arrived at their answer. I've used it as a warm-up and a center!

I have taught my kindergarten kids that they are never to use uppercase letters unless it is the beginning of a sentence, name, title, day/month, beginning of a quote, or the word I.

I've been having some trouble printing this in Adobe Reader. After a bit of hunting, I discovered I can select print>advanced>print as image. The only problem is that I cannot get it to print in greyscale now, & I don't have much left on my color cartridge. Is there a way to re-save this in greyscale? Thanks!

I haven't looked at the 3rd grade standards. Aside from the "Building Lists" activities I think you could use it for 3rd and just require more detail from them. :) I use it with my advanced 2nd graders and they love it. Sometimes I make them include a simile or metaphor, or tell them to include transition words. I say go for it! And if there's an activity I can add to replace the building list part, let me know. :)

I absolutely love what I've seen of your product. However, I teach 1st grade and there are several items that I couldn't use. I am a Kindergarten teacher from Orlando, Florida. *Update* I am teaching Advanced 2nd grade for the 2012-2013 school year. I love using technology and fun activities to enhance my teaching. I attended the University of Central Flordia and majored in Elementary Education. I was appointed team leader my second year teaching and pride myself on being a dedicated passionate teacher. I tutor 1st grade students after school, interned in 2nd grade while obtaining my degree and also work with 3rd and 4th grade students on Saturday morning, prepping for FCAT. Before teaching I was a nanny for two different families for 3 years. I love working with children and I love teaching so much. I feel it's what God called me to do.

My teaching style is very hands on. I teach Kindergarten so it's important for me to help the students make connections and feel like they own everything we are learning about. I like to make school fun and educational at the same time. My students come to school excited each day to see what they are going to learn and how they are going to learn it. I am very into technology and am constantly researching ways to use it to enhance my teaching. The students love it and their success is a direct result of it.
