I've been teaching this novel for several years and found this to be the best way to study vocab with it that I have tried so far. Be sure to check which version of the book you have when you use it or page numbers may be off.

I teach Middle School Read180 so I use an entirely different rBook with different stories, but I just wanted to see how you set-up your study guides then maybe I can create my own using the Stage B :)

Thank you! I try to make new things each year to add to my materials. I posted what I have for workshop 4, which unfortunately isn't too much. All I have are the vocabulary puzzles, which include a crossword, word search, and word scramble. I use those to help students get familiar with the words, but for this unit I have not yet made a vocabulary packet with various context lessons. Hopefully I will get time to do that soon! For now I posted what I do have. Hope that is helpful!

Thank you! Yes, I do have answer keys and would be happy to email them to you. I do have tests for unit 8 and 9 as well, and I will try to post those ASAP. I also have word study cards for a few more units, though not all 9. As far as additional matierals, I have made study guides for most of the units, which are like 2 page worksheets to review for the tests. I think that is all I have for Stage C, though I also teach novels on my class in addition to the RBook. Those include Tangerine, Seedfolks, We Beat the Street, and The Code. I have a LOT of stuff for those books. I will try to email you the answer keys within a few days and also post units 8 and 9. I'm glad they are helpful; I remember when I started teaching Read 180 and really was searching for things, and there was nothing!

I just used the test you created for workshop one. Wow! What a difference it makes to have a test. Students are used to tests and that really seemed to make the workshop meaningful to them. Will you have tests for the other workshops? Thanks!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
This is my 7th year teaching Read 180 at the high school level. I began teaching in East Los Angeles and now teach in Ontario. I have taught 9th grade using the Stage C Read 180 program all 7 years. I also teach 9th grade A.V.I.D.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I feel that Read 180 is a great program and very engaging for students. I am lucky to teach a double block class, where I have my students for two class periods in a row. They get credit for Read 180 and for English 1, and having them for two hours instead of one makes a huge difference in instruction. I have created extra lessons and activities that supplement the curriculum. I also teach several novels as part of the class, including Tangerine, Seedfolks, The Code, and We Beat the Street.
