I have been a special education teacher since 1998. I currently teach a self-contained cross categorical class of 3rd through 5th graders. I have also taught k-6 resource classes and self-contained classes in the past. I currently teach in North Carolina, but I taught for 4 years in Texas.

My students learn best using a hands-on, cross curricular approach. I try to incorporate creative activities, such as crafts and cooking, into my lessons.

I eaned my bachelor's degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1996.

I was born in Arkansas, raised in Texas, went to college in Oklahoma, and currently live in North Carolina.
