Hello,

I can't wait to use this, but my students would definitely benefit from the examples. Where can I find those?
Thank you!

Jean K. re: Lesson Plan Template - Madeline Hunter's Model
Hi Jennifer, Just used your template to write a math plan ussing CCSS standards and math practices. Is there any way to put drop down boxes in to make the plan user friendly? It would be an almost perfect plan for Louisiana teachers if that was included. Thanks. Jean

Thanks for the info...I'm not sure how to input drop-down menus in a Word document, but if I figure it out, I'll be sure to update all buyers so they can have a version like that! It does sound helpful!

Hi there! No, I'm sorry, I don't know where Byron is, but I like that name. If I have a son, maybe I'll name him that. Haven't had a student named Byron yet, so it's still a name choice! Haha. I'm up near Chicago--in the Northern burbs. Is Byron near there?

I am in the same boat as Elisabeth, I cannot download the purchase. I too, liked what I saw and would like to use it. I commented on this problem right after I bought it and I just checked again (several months later) and I still cannot download the ppt. PLEASE fix the ppt so we can use the product.

I apologize! I wasn't getting any of the TPT emails for years. Now I get them, and I have updated the file. Hopefully you can still download it. If not, write to me at jkreiseder@yahoo.com and I'll send it to you that way.

Scipi
Scipi  (TpT Seller) re: Exponential Properties Poster/Handout
I saw your store on the home page of Teachers Pay Teachers; so, I thought I would look at your freebie. I wasn't sure how to rate double sided grid paper, so I found another free product that I knew I could use in my classroom. I teach remedial math on the college level.

I have a couple of suggestions that might help you to better market your products. First, create a cover page which can then be used as an attractive thumbnail to entice buyers. You might also add a second page which is a directions or suggestions page. List several ways you use this product. Never assume that a buyer knows how, why, or when to use your product. Use the footer to put the copyright symbol, your name and date of creation on EVERY page. Items, especially free ones, have been "stolen" from TPT and posted on other sites to be sold. You have to protect all of your creations.

Since you teach math, I’d appreciate your input on my freebie listed below. It is geared for grades 4-6.

I am now your 59th follower, and hope you will reciprocate at my store as well. http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/SciPi/Products

The teaching world needs quality math materials; so, good luck as you sell on TPT!

I purchased your DIS-proportionate faces, and it looks wonderful. As I'm preparing to use it, I wondered if you had final product photos I could view.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I currently teach Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Geometry to 7th and 8th graders near Chicago. I have been teaching since 2004, and I have noticed that many of the units I'm looking for aren't already bundled in a nice package...so I made them myself! To help YOU, my fellow teachers, find the "bundles" I've been looking for! I have put much time into creating my supplemental materials and units. Through sharing and observation of my self-created lessons, colleagues have suggested that I find a way to share the materials I have created. I hope you find my materials helpful! PLEASE email me at: redbeetlerb@gmail.com if you have questions! If you have suggestions for my materials, please let me know. If I agree, I'll fix it and send you back an updated version.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I follow them middle-school philosophy and team teach on a block schedule that loops (I teach the same 8th graders that I taught in 7th grade). That means that most of my lessons are geared towards a 70/90 minute block of time, while my classes meet 3 or 4 times a week. The lessons can be adjusted to fit whatever schedule you have, though. As teachers, I think we learn time management and adjusting to the speed of our classes right away! I aim to present content in a way that I think the students will "experience" more of the math, making connections and discoveries on their own, and therefore remember it.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have been part of a school that has won major awards in my time there. We have won the AIMS Demonstration School of Distinction (Local Affiliation of NMSA), National Blue Ribbon Award, and the Horizon School to Watch Award in the past 6 years. Personally I have been awarded three grants and the team I work on won a Teams that Excel award from the Illinois State Board of Education. I have presented at two conferences and my school was asked to host an AIMS conference due to receiving the School of Distinction status. I have also obtained my National Board Certification in 2011.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I completed high school in the Northern suburbs of Chicago. I then headed out to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and completed an undergraduate degree in Cinematography. This degree has helped me in the are of technology, which I include in my lessons as often as I can. However, it is more of a hobby now. Then I completed my Master of Arts in Teaching degree at National-Louis University. I now teach pre-algebra, algebra, and geometry curricula. I also teach graduate Middle Level Education courses at National-Louis University that focus on adolescent development and curriculum development.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I always rely on the discipline methods of Love and Logic in my classroom. I have attended workshops and read the books, and my advice to anyone (new teacher or old) who hasn't read up on this philosophy yet, do so! Of course, mold it to your own management style, but its definitely worth your time! Oh, and feel free to contact me with any questions you have about any of my products before buying them. You can write to me at redbeetlerb@gmail.com. Or visit my blog, which links you directly to my contact information!
