I have taught for 13 years at O.W. Dillon Memorial Elementary in Kentwood, Louisiana.
I have been teaching with a SmartBoard for about 3 years and integrate technology into all of my lessons. I also have six iPod Touches that I use in small group settings as well as several Califone MP3 players.
I was named Teacher of the Year for my school in 2008-2009 and have National Board Certification in Early Childhood Literacy/English-Language Arts.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Educational Technology, both from Southeastern Louisiana University. I am also certified to teach computer literacy and English as Second Language.
I spend much of my "free" time making SmartBoard files for my classroom lessons. I also enjoy making many things for my class and Sunday School on my ProvoCraft Cricut Expression cutting machine. I also enjoy cross stitching and reading.
