If you are using Internet Explorer there are some problems with Notebook files downloading, try using Google Chrome and it should download fine. If it doesn't work for you, email me at richelle.votaw@tangischools.org and I will send it directly to you.

The easiest thing to do would be to clone the pages and rename each page by the class and date. You would want to save an original copy of the file once you have it like you want it, then open that one and "save as" for attendance tracking purposes. For example, if you have three sections, each file would have three copies of the attendance page, named A, B, C and then the entire file saved as the date for tracking attendance.

Are you using the SMART Notebook software? It is a Notebook file. If you have the software and are having trouble opening it still it may be a download problem with your web browser. Try downloading the file in Google Chrome and see if that works.

Hello! Can you please clarify for me what 'application' is needed to use this. I no longer have a Smartboard/Interactive white board, but we still use some products that were designed with that intent. I just project it from my computer and my students respond on our ordinary dry erase boards while another student 'transfers' those interactions to the laptop.
I've never had a problem with a powerpoint presentation on my laptop. Is 'notebook' something that requires special software on my laptop? I am interested in your programs, but don't want to throw $5 onto something I can't use.

This program is made in SMART Notebook software, it is used with SMARTBoards and made by the SMART company, but the software can also stand alone for use on other interactive whiteboards or projectors. The files do require the Notebook software, however, and will not convert to PowerPoint.

I've never tried, I think only if you have the SMART Notebook software on the computer that is connected to teh Promethean Board. Technically it's the software that needs to be SMART brand, not the board (example, some teachers use it on a scan convertor shown on a TV that have no digital board at all). Hope that helps!

I will send it directly to you. If you are using Internet Explorer 9 (and have not been in the past) that could be the issue, our school system technology department recommends using Google Chrome to download Notebook files.

1) Replaced the word "name" with your students names.
2) Group the text box with the image for them to move together.
3) Any extras can be deleted or if you have more students than pieces you can make a new one by cloning one of the pieces already there.
Students move their basketball into the net to show they are present, basketballs not placed at the net indicate which students are absent.

You should be able to download the SmartNotebook sofware from www.smarttech.com to run the file, I think it's just a 30 day trial but it should help you for the time being.

In slideshow mode, the second slide is the main menu. Students choose which category question they want (easier problems being lower grade levels, harder questions being the higher grade levels). It then takes them to the question they have chosen and they see their problem. Students work the problem either mentally or if you choose to have them all work in on paper, dry erase boards, etc. Then the student touches/clicks to see if they are correct. Touch/click again to get back to the main menu. The category they chose will have disappeared, leaving the available categories. If you choose to keep up with the "money" amounts on the side of the main menu, click to unveil, beginning with lower amounts for easier questions, higher amounts for harder questions.

I teach 2nd grade, so that's what these are designed for. I've never given ITBS to 2nd graders, only to 1st in the past, but I made my stuff after talking to the only person I could find at our school who had given ITBS to 2nd grade. Our school system went several years without giving it and are now having us give it again without any of the "test prep" help.

It has been a long time since I have used a mimio and didn't have Notebook software at the time, so I'm guessing here--the eraser in the picture is just a clue for students to know to erase, if the eraser tool in Notebook won't work try clicking on the space in the box where the answer is and deleting with the little down arrow. You may need to group several together for it to erase all--also make sure the text behind it is locked so you don't accidentally delete it. Hope that helps!

As stated in the description, there are eight cards total, then four copies should be printed to create the full deck. This is designed for lower elementary and sticks to a few key concepts they can master rather than overwhelming them with too much information.

I have taught for 13 years at O.W. Dillon Memorial Elementary in Kentwood, Louisiana.

I have been teaching with a SmartBoard for about 3 years and integrate technology into all of my lessons. I also have six iPod Touches that I use in small group settings as well as several Califone MP3 players.
