Before becoming a teacher, I was a substitute teacher as I attended my undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Geneseo. I have been a high school English teacher in New York State for 10 years. My undergraduate work consisted of Secondary Education with Concentration in English and History from SUNY Geneseo. My master's degree concentrated on integrating technology into the curriculum from the University of Phoenix Online. Many of my lessons integrate the use of technology in some way. I have been a teacher author for Teachers Pay Teachers since March of 2007.
I rarely lecture. I like to provide opportunities for students to learn and grow with my guidance rather than telling them the answers. I enjoy incorporating History and English together to give students a context in which to learn from and internalize.
Yet to be added
I attended the State University of Geneseo where I received my Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education with English and History Concentration. I received my Master's at The University of Phoenix online in Curriculum Technology.
I also teach courses to my peers for professional development in helping them to integrate technology in the classroom.
