While it might lead to some good discussion, I would have liked to have seen some sort of outcome to the case and an explanation of why. This is just the handouts for the students -- nothing to explain to the teacher how to implement this assignment, what sorts of groups to assemble, or how to assess. Just instructions to turn it in at the end.

I tried opening it, as well as, a colleague who has a more current version, and we could open the text, but not the timeline piece. Did you write it in an earlier version? Also, would it be possible to send me just the timeline as an attachment?

I am not at all proficient on the computer and when I downloaded it, all I could see was one big "slide" with the "answer". How do I access the "question". Also, the "slide" dominated the screen and I couldn't access the column on the left with all of the slides or the outline. Thanks

if you click the "answer" with the hand icon you will get the "question" you don't need to see the outline. You want to be in slide show mode.

I recently purchased the entire plan for $9.99 then apparently bought some of the individual handouts again for $1.00 - not realizing they were already included with my original purchase. Is there any chance I can be refunded for those additional (and needless) purchases? I'm new to teacherspayteachers...so I'm just getting the hang of this!

I thought I was purchasing a smartboard timeline activity for middle school. It's advertised as a history timeline for grades 7-12. The only activity I got is for second grade! I'm glad I only paid a dollar for this!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Before becoming a teacher, I was a substitute teacher as I attended my undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Geneseo. I have been a high school English teacher in New York State for 10 years. My undergraduate work consisted of Secondary Education with Concentration in English and History from SUNY Geneseo. My master's degree concentrated on integrating technology into the curriculum from the University of Phoenix Online. Many of my lessons integrate the use of technology in some way. I have been a teacher author for Teachers Pay Teachers since March of 2007.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I rarely lecture. I like to provide opportunities for students to learn and grow with my guidance rather than telling them the answers. I enjoy incorporating History and English together to give students a context in which to learn from and internalize.
