I bought the webquest last week and went through it quickly on my own. I'm using it as a hook to initiate interest in our upcoming chapter book "The Chocolate Touch". Unfortunately we hit a snag today when I took my class to the computer lab. On website 4 the webquest questions and time line start at 1502,but the Cadbury website information starts at 1800. Any suggestions?

Hi ... I just purchased your book report packet and love it. In my feedback I stated that I wished it wasn't "read only" so I could type in the due date. I also wanted to change the rubric slightly (change "dress up" 10 pts. to "oral presentation" 15 points and then change "overall neatness" to 5pts. THEN I read a comment that indicated you could send it to me in a different version OR if you want to protect your doc. would you be able to make that change only to the "Cereal Box Biography rubric?" and email that page redone? If not ...no worries ...I'll just white out and change myself.

Absolutely! Powerpoint is so much easier than Word! You can manipulate the pictures. You can use it as landscape or portrait. You don't have to worry about it going over to the next page when you add things. Do you have an particular questions?

I'm considering relocating to Charolette for the next school year. I would like to find out some information about the school district from a teacher who currently teaches in the district.
I've relocated many times in my teaching career and have not known much about the districts before I've accepted teaching positions. So I though I'd do things a little differently this time.
I moved back to Southern California 3 years ago after teaching 6 wonderful years in Marietta, GA. Why did I leave a wonderful place? Good question! I thought I missed my life in Southern California, where I had lived and worked for 17 years. Little did I realize....nothing stays the same and some places don't grow! This is what I found when I returned to So. CA... nothing had changed or improved in the district I currently work in for Special Education students. Special Ed. students are still taught in self contained classrooms with little to no inclusion. This practice goes against eveyrthing I believe in regards to the education of students with special needs.
Ok, I don't want to go on and on about this and bore you. If you don't mind..would you tell me so general things abouth teaching in Charolette. I read that the district has a new Superintendent from Sparks, NV. I have a friend who teaches in Sparks, NV.

Hi! Great question! No, we read a variety of materials each month. It all depends on what we are working on at the time. Some novels take several weeks but I always throw in other materials too! Scholastic News is great for nonfiction. We read from leveled readers and poetry as well. I hope this helps! Ask away!

I can't remember the company off hand. I googled flower alphabet and purchased it as an alphabet. Then I cropped each letter and saved it by itself. When I go to use it, I have to copy and paste each letter. It is worth it for cute titles and such!

Ok Chami, what I ended up doing is reloading it with background on one set and white on second set. You still have the "We can" and "I can" on both sets. So upload it again..it will be free in your purchases. The white set is second. If you have any more trouble, please let me know!
Ok Chami, what I ended up doing is reloading it with background on one set and white on second set. You still have the "We can" and "I can" on both sets. So upload it again..it will be free in your purchases. The white set is second. If you have any more trouble, please let me know!

Can you please send me more detailed instructions on how to use the game? I get where it says to start at the beginning of the slide show but not sure on how to get the scores to show up on the people icons.

Hello! It allows you to type in the amount during the slide show. I usually allow my better math students to work it. Plus the others will certainly let him/her know if it is wrong! Also, if you want the teams to have an even shot at the amounts, I usually divide my students in 5 groups instead of 6. I hope this helps!
