Mr. Rohac has been a science educator for over 25 years. He has years of experience working with ELL students in a science classroom in the San Bernardino USD. He has extensive background and training in curriculum development, assessment, teacher training, staff development programs and district compliance issues. As well as working for school districts in both Canada and the United States he has worked for School Research and Service as their science director. He helped design science curriculum based upon the California Science Frameworks and a data base of test questions, standard and authentic versions for each of the K-12 curricula. Mr. Rohac is currently working under Dr. David Ramirez at California State University at Long Beach teaching CLAD course, science education classes and SB1969 courses. He is also a private education consultant and has an impressive list of clients that includes a substantial number of school districts in California and 25 other states. It also includes a number of State Departments of Education, OBEMLA, Educational Agencies and county offices. He has been a guest speaker at the National Research Symposium for Bilingual Education, NABE, CABE, CATESOL, CASBE and many other conferences. Most recently he is one of the authors of Houghton Mifflin’s DiscoveryWorks science programs for grades K-6. He is actively sought after to work with school districts to consult on program design, teacher training and staff development programs. His training and presentations receive the highest scores. Teachers appreciate is practical approaches to teaching and the success it can bring.
