Bought this and I absolutely love it! Well aligned to common core for Georgia. Our math coach recommends that we teach two digit addition and subtraction horizontally (in order to better teach decomposing the tens and ones). Would love to have this done to them in this unit:)

I just noticed a couple errors after printing and laminating your games. It's in the directions for the spinner games "lickety split" and "shake subtraction". The should be then and you should be your. "Lickety split" also talks about regrouping which is not part of the one I made. If you correct these, please let me know so I can download them again. That sounds like a great idea! I just uploaded this again and it now has 2 versions of the counting on carrots. The first is number sentences to 20, but after that I added an additional set of numbers like "38+4" or "59+3", etc. Is that what you meant?? (the numbers to 20 have a few equaling 20, but nothing more) Hope that answers your question!!

You will not be able to save it as another name... once it's downloaded, it is saved to your computer. I have it protected because of the terms of use and copyright issues with the clipart. Also, remember that you can always come back to your purchases tab and download it again and again over the years! :)

Hi Denise! When you open the file, it should open in Power Point. Once there, you should be able to click where it says "Type message here" at the top. When you do that, the text box will appear and you can start typing. You can change the font to whatever you like and the size you want. The box should expand as you type.

Yes! Go to your "my purchases" tab at the top of the TPT page--I believe it's near your search button/space. Once you click there, you should be able to see all of your purchases and you can download from there again. It will be there forever! :) It's one of the best things I've found about TPT. I actually don't keep the files I buy on here anymore on my computer. I know I can go back and download them when I need them---and it frees space up on my computer for other stuff! :)

Hi there! This sounds like it is a computer/program problem. First, make sure you are opening the file in adobe. 2nd, make sure that it is the latest version of adobe. If you still have trouble, when you go to print, find the "advanced" tab and open/click on it. You will want to click the "print as image" box. This will allow it to print faster---which will work on pretty much all files---it's always checked on my computer now.
If you still have problems, please contact TPT through the "contact us" tab on the home page. They are fabulous at getting things to print, etc. I can make things, but when it comes to computer/printing, I'm not always helpful. ;) The above things are what I have found to work on files I have had trouble with in the past! hmmm... There isn't a password in order to download it. You will not be able to rename it though, I think with the security that is on it because of the clip art terms of use. When I just tried to download it, it just went right to my desktop. Check your email! :)

Yes!!! That is my goal now :). I have done these for the past 10 years, but they have always been pieced together (bottoms were always whatever I could find at the time). Now that I have come up with this format---I'm switching over! Soooooo much easier to prepare and copy!! :). I'll do packet 4 before I make it back to the beginning if the year, which will be packets 1 & 2 :). And I'll have them match up for what I think they'll be capable of doing at the time. (These will be harder than what ill have 1 & 2 be, and 4 will have some double digit math since that's in the CCSSs).

I was just cross-referencing your document with a document I received from my district. I noticed that your document does not have RL.4.11, W.4.11 or W.4.2e. Could you check to see if they maybe got cut off? Also, I have RF.4.5 where you have RF.4.3. Also, I have RF.4.6 and you have RF.4.4. They are the same standards just labeled differently. When I looked at the National CCSS (I'm looking at it right now) I do not see a RF.4.5 or RF.4.6 at all nor do I see W.4.11 (Reading foundations seem to stop after RF.4.4 and Writing stops after W.4.10). I do see a W.4.2e that must have been cut off or missed-I'll add that and upload it again. (It won't be until at least tonight that I can fix it)

As of right now it is read only-print and use. I would certainly like to make it more of a computer use in the future, but it will take some time to do that and I am not sure when I'll be able to tackle that project. (That's the bad news.) I have not gone back and added anything for PA. Everything is based off of the National, for now, till I can find time to match them. I'm not as up to date with the LA for PA as I am for math. I know that for Math, the PA CCSS's are all covered with the National CCSS's (if that makes sense). With our district's curriculum, we actually left everything we redid last year to the National CCSS's because we found PA's to be weak and not very specific for certain standards. We figured that if we are teaching to the National CCSS's, we are covering the PA CCSS's. As far as my LA stuff, April through October things are definitely aligned to the National CCSS's. I haven't cross referenced it with PA yet. I'm not quite sure what has been taken out (if anything) from the National---or added in. As I work through it this year, I'll have a better handle on PA's LA CCSS's (ha! how about that string of acronyms!?!)

It is all of the national common core standards for Kindergarten for math and language arts. NY standards are not noted. I do not live or teach there, so I do not know your standards. =). Not all domains are present in every grade level, so only those expected for the national CCSSs are there. (for example, in first grade, we do not teach anything from CC, so there isn't a page in the first grade packet for that one.). Hope that helped! Unfortunately, not being familiar with your standards, and the time that would be invested to add them (the current packet took quite awhile to create), I don't foresee how I could add them. Sorry, but thanks for asking!

I believe because of the clip art terms of use, you cannot save the file as another type of file (word, etc.) As long as it is downloaded to your computer, it is saved to it. If you still have problems, please know that it is always saved to your TPT account and you can access it forever by going to your "purchases" tab!

There are 4 sets-same item, just different font or graphics to give more options. They are not available separately. After receiving feedback, I added the 3 other sets to the file. I can't remember off hand, but the packet is about 18 pages. Thanks for asking! :)

As I stated before, that checklist was never free. It is $5 if you would like to purchase it. Technology glitches happen, which is unfortunate. I cannot give my item for free due to copyright issues with the graphics I used. Sorry.

Try to download it again. That shouldn't be happening. When I download it I am able to print without a password. If you are still unable you might want to contact TPT from the main page to ask for their assistance. The file is not password-ed for printing----just for copying because of graphic copyrights.

Sorry, I missed this question! Students have a worksheet and at the top of the page are random consonants. Below that are 2 or 3 letter chunks. Students will whack (or tap) consonants then the chunk to make a word and will record it. I have 2 different recording sheets for students. The first one is for them to just write all the words they make. The second is for them to record the real words and nonsense words. =)

This sounds like it's an adobe problem. Make sure you have the most current version of adobe. You can also try to redownload. If you are still having problems, contact TPT as they are great at solving technological problems like this!!! =)

Make sure you have the most current version of adobe. You can update that program for free if not at their site. Try downloading again. If that doesn't work, contact TPT. They are great at solving problems! :)

I'm sorry about the Informational Text page! Something must have moved when the font changed and I saved. I'll fix it as soon as I can, though I'm not sure I'll be able to update before next week due to no internet service on my computer......

Hi! I'm away from my computer till next week. First, make sure you have an up to date version of adobe. Usually when this problem occurs, it's because of that. You could also try downloading it again. If it's still not working, click on the "contact" button on the side of the page to contact TPT. They are great at getting things to print correctly. Hello. This is my first time using TpT and I downloaded your First Grade Common Core packet. Quick question... am I able to save it to my computer to use multiple years? So far it has said it is locked and won't let me save a version. I'm afraid to close it on my computer for fear of losing it. I've printed one copy. Do I just have to have a hard copy to print each year? Thanks for your help and your wonderful product!

When you download something from TPT it is saved to your computer. You will not be able to convert it and save it as a Word Doc or anything due to the security settings I have on it due to the copyright terms of use for the clip art that I used/purchased. I just downloaded it and it stayed on my desktop. It also let me "save as PDF" but not a "save as word doc." It is a document that you'll print out. Because of the graphics/borders, I could not have it be "editable" on your computer.
If for some reason it will not stay on your computer, it will always (forever!) be available to download again on your TPT account. :) I've started to delete things from my computer now, since I know that it's in my account online! :)

Hi there! Right now I do not have my computer that has the file to send. I will have it back next Friday. In the meantime, you may want to try to download again or contact TPT. I had read a few different people in the past few days from other sellers with the same kind of problem. I have not heard from anyone else not being able to download that has purchased it and I haven't updated the file. Sometimes there's glitches with the site. TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have been teaching since 2001. The first 2 years I spent teaching full day kindergarten. Since then I have been teaching wonderful little 6-7 year olds in first grade!
MY TEACHING STYLE
I love to keep kids moving and grooving. I do what I can to make an activity that gets them thinking and moving. I think of myself more as a coach some days. =)
HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT
I was chosen to write our first writing curriculum from scratch (for first grade) a few years back as well as became an official Step Up to Writing Trainer. I worked closely with 1 other first grade teacher to rewrite our math curriculum to align with the new Common Core Standards this past summer.
MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY
Graduated with honors with a degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education in 2001. Graduated in 2007 with a 4.0 from Penn State University with a Masters in Teaching and Curriculum (with having my first baby in the middle of the master's program! Not quite sure how, but I look at it as quite an achievement!)! :P
