HI, I first used this game today and ran into a problem early on; the game ended too soon and it seems like there are not some of the numbers, like 17?
Do you have a corrected version?

I would love for it to, but unfortunately there are only so many answers for basic subtraction facts. If I add more cards, then two people would have the card with the right answer and it would throw off the game. What you might do is divide the class in half (although some kids may have to double up), and print two sets of the game. Then both groups could participate and/or race against each other. If you have other suggestions that you feel like I could do, please let me know!

I love this product so much!! I want to be able to use as much of it as I can. Unfortunately, I teach 1st grade and a lot of the definitions are too complicated for them. Would you consider putting more basic/simple definitions for the types of percipitation, storms and clouds? I could even come up with them and send them to you to put in your template. Just a thought :) Thanks so much for listening!

Hi there!
I purchased this awesome data binder & can't wait to use it; however, my school doesn't do all of the same testing that you do. I was wondering if it was possible to get a copy of the same documents in Word format so I can change the assessment names to fit my own needs?

Thanks!

Colleen,
Thank you for the purchase, and I'm glad you're excited to put it to use! Which assessments are different? I'd love to add it to the unit for others as well. You can email me at runteacherrun@gmail.com for specific changes. Most of the time other people use the same assessments as what others are wanting. Unfortunately, due to licensing of clipart and fonts, I can't send it out in word, and I haven't quite figured out how to make them editable.

Hi! Just purchased your binder. :) Can you create a spelling test graph that is based on the words correct? Each test has 15 words so it could have Tests 1- 10 at the bottom and students would be able to graph up to 15 for each test. (Standards based grading)

Would it be possible to get the editable version? I am a bilingual teacher and most of the parents of my students only speak Spanish (or understand the information better).

It would be awesome! Thank you!

Donaji,
I am so sorry! We had conferences this week, and I'm just now sitting down to do some other things. I do not have this in an editable version, unfortunately. I have been asked about this a couple of times for the Spanish versions, so maybe by next year? I don't know anyone who can translate, so hopefully by then I can find someone! Thanks!

Hello! Can you send me an email, and I will fix the mistakes. I've not been made aware of them, but I would love to fix them for you! Unfortunately, I cannot resent it due to licensure of graphics, borders, etc. I have added items for others to make it more applicable to their classroom needs! Let me know what you need, and I'll make it happen! My email is runteacherrun@gmail.com. Once I fix the mistakes, I can resend it to all people who have purchased the unit, so that they have everything corrected.
Thanks for the purchase!

Is there any way that I could make some additional cards using the blanks that you included at the bottom? This is such a great game, but I would like to add some additional words to use for 4th grade. I know it is a PDF so I can't edit at all. Thanks for providing this, I love it!!

Porsche,

Unfortunately, I'm unaware of a way to send the entire document without just sending you the unit. If you have ideas, let me know! I have used Everyday Math with my student led conferences, and there is a section for them to record their math test scores for each unit, as well as find their best math box page, and their most challenging. I've never used Treasures, so I'm not sure, but I have been none to add/change things for people once they get it! ;) Let me know if I can answer any other questions for you. I love Student-Led Conferences/Data Binders, so I'm always willing to chat about them!

I am interested in using these in 5th grade this school year. I would like to know if you are aware of anyone who has had success with it in 5th grade before i purchase? How did they handle tracking the data during class times?

I do know of a few people who have purchased this for the upper grades. Once it becomes a routine, then the data tracking/recording process goes very quickly. I have adde science and social studies to make it do tht the upper grades have more items to play with. If/when you purchase and you find a need for something else to be added, I will always do that! My blog (not to plug it) has a couple of posts about student led conferences and data binders that will probably give you way more info than you ever wanted. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi! Thanks for responding. I'm so sorry you lost your files. I am glad you're redoing this file and I would appreciate the multiplication and division sheets. If possible, I would also like to see a Vocabulary section with: multiple meaning words, synonyms, antonyms, homophones, roots words, figurative language and a Writing Conventions section as well. As far as time, I would love to start off the year with this so I am in no hurry right now. Thank you so much.r

Silvia, I am so sorry I somehow missed this second message from you (forever ago)! Are you wanting the vocabulary section to have assessments for all of those things, or just a place to record their scores on the assessments you will give them. Without seeing your scope and sequence and specific standards, I hesitate in creating these assessments for you. The data binder should be a place for them to record their information after they have been asssessed.

Also, as far as the mutliplication/division sheets, I am working with TpT on a computer glitch that is not allowing me to upload my most recent revision which would have a blank template for you to enter your multiplication/division goals. Feel free to email me at runteacherrun@gmail.com for further questions, details, and info!

Thanks!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught 3rd grade for four years, and just moved to 2nd grade this year. It has been a great change, with a lot of opportunities to create new and different things!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I guess I'd say my teaching style is fun...I love to laugh with my kids. My theme this year is the Riley Ranch, and we've had a great time making up sayings and slogans that go along with it. I love to celebrate all things good that my kids do...we're currently learning a flash mob dance to do later in the year. We only get practice time if my kids do well on something in class.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Over the past five years, I have received four grants through various organizations that were written primarily for technology pieces in my building! You can check out my newest endeavor in attempting to blog at http://runteacherrunriley.blogspot.com/

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

-B.A. in Elem. Education from DePauw University -M.S. in Educ. Administration from Butler University

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I love running, especially with my dog, Scout! I finished my first marathon in October, and am looking forward to more races (maybe not a marathon!) in the future!
