I have been a Language Arts teacher in middle and high schools, a teacher of Interdisciplinary Gifted courses in middle school, an Instructional Specialilst, mentoring teachers in effective lesson planning, an assistant principal (middle school) and an education consultant. I have also been the headmaster at three private nursery and kindergarten schools.
I am a learner-centered teacher. My emphasis is on making material relevant, providing background knowledge/resources for the success of every student, and creating materials that require personal involvement and use of higher order thinking skills. I prefer hands-on learning classrooms.
