I like my activities to be easy to use, and for the students to be more independent, using the material to create, rather than the teacher (me!) doing so much of the work! I like to put a lot into the prep, and then have the students enjoy the process! Take a look at my sub plans - also totally easy to hand out, and in English (if the sub does not know the language!)

Thanks so much for your note! That was my plan too when I created them for my subs. I wanted the students to be engaged during my absence, and to have something to report to me when I came back. And all students could do the packet. When I left French/Spanish plans, some students who are on plans were unable to do the worksheets, which immediately created problems! I am now working on a Marie Antoinette packet!

This package is a God-send. My elderly dad had an accident a few weeks ago and I had an unplanned absence. I had prepared this package for an emergency, and boy, did it perform!! The activities were engaging and it kept the students busy the whole block.

Actually, for myself they are not too crowded. Tried and true, and used every day. It is just enough material to motivate the students for those few minutes of communication. I often, though, modify the slides to accommodate classes that have difficulty with communication.

Thanks so much for your feedback! You hit the nail on the head! That is exactly why I started creating these for myself. I had a family emergency recently, and it was as much a nightmare to deal with the sub plans, on top of dealing with personal issues! Top this off with worrying if the sub knew French helped me to create these packets. I have packets for Napoleon Bonaparte, Marcel Marceau, Louis Pasteur, and more, sitting in the pouches under my large table in my class I just finished a packet on Louis Braille. I put these also on the teacherspayteachers site. I am working on more.

MY TEACHING STYLE
It is all about the communication. Communication comes first, then reading, more communication, and then grammar. There sips nothing wrong with grammar, and the older geprammar book series (ALM FRENCH/ SPANISH) are actually more concise and clear. But again,developing the communication skills is the key. I have tried a million ways to get students to communicate, but the best way I ha e ever found is to BECOME the French person, throw in a tinsel wig, a black wig, and a red wig, and the students feel freer to converse!
