Can these be used commercially do you know? To sell here on TPT? Thanks.

I searched their copywrite information and could not find anything. I would not be comfortable using them to sell as they are tagged with their website. That is why I put them up as free to use in conjunction with one of my commercial products.

Ahhhh...Thanks for reaching out! He is an English Mastiff. His name is Bishop and he is 6 and a half years old. I actually rescued him three years ago. He is actually a runt and only weighs 120 pounds. Your dog looks adorable!

Now I understand...the partners are a team and they are racing against other teams for the most correct answers. I didn't get that from the product description. You may want to add that in. I think you were very smart to offer a free fractions mayhem. Teachers will try the game and like it and come back for more!

I am interested in your mayhem game...but I can't really tell how it's played from your disctription...I know you don't want to say too much, but could I have a hint before I spend $6.00?

I am thrilled you are interested! Basically the students are working on a problem set. They number their blank white lined paper page 1 to 30 and then get up to retrieve problems placed around the room. I set rules on how many kids get up at a time so that it is not pure chaos. The students retrieve a problem card and return to their seat to solve. When they complete the problem they get up and swap with another card. The students repeat this process until I say times up. I usually give them 10 to 20 minutes depending on the level of the group. I put out more problems then I have students so that there are always cards available. Each game set includes a list of 30 problems, a separate list of the answers and then 30 playing cards (8 to a page)
I was thinking about publishing the rules and one game set as a freebie to get people interested. Honesty the game is pretty straight forward... Most of my time spent creating is making the printer ready cards and multiple game sets.
Let me know if this helps or if I can send you more info.

Hi, I saw your "Please help" on the forum today. Just an idea...most of your products are for math, but your freebie is language arts. You may want to change that. Also, all the common core numbers are fine, but I wouldn't put so much of them in the title or the first sentence that appears with the thumbnail. Buyers know what they are looking for, stick with the main concept in the title. Remember, buyers are scanning hundreds of items quickly...if they have to think too hard, they won't slow down long enough to give your item a chance. Finally, I noticed sales got better after I started posting more small freebies to entice buyers to my store. Not my best things of course, just useful stuff, like a multiplication chart, and a homework folder insert. Search your files for small but useful things you could post for free...then attach a one page product list with thumbnails and labels to your free product (not the first page, but at the end). If you want to know what I am talking about, visit my store and download one of my smaller free items. Hope these suggestions help.

I saw your posting on the Forum page of Teachers Pay Teachers; so, I thought I would look at your store. Here are a few suggestions that might help you to better market your products.

First of all, you cannot have a book jacket in any item that is for sale or free. It violates copyright laws. You could add a clipart image to add color or just color some of your font. For some reason buyers like color on the original even though they may copy your product in black and white.

Create a cover page for each of your products which can then be used as an attractive thumbnail to entice buyers even if the product is only one page in length. Remember, you are competing with over 23,000 sellers! You might also add a second page which is a directions or suggestions page for the teacher. List several ways you use this product in your classroom. Never assume that a buyer knows how, why, or when to use your product.

Use the footer to put the copyright symbol, your name and date of creation on EVERY page. Here is how you do that. Use the insert and go to the right. You should see symbols there. Insert the copyright symbol, your name and date. It should look something like this: © V. Rauch (Scipi), 2011 Items, especially free ones, have been "stolen" from TPT and posted on other sites to be sold. You have to protect all of your creations. Also number your pages. Finally, unless you want your products revised (I do for my tests) save everything in a PDF format as it is harder to change.

It is important that we see what others are doing; so, feel free to look at any or all of my freebies listed below to gather some ideas. If you care to, a rating or any feedback you might have would be great.

Scipi,
Thank you so much for all of the helpful feedback!! I am working to go back and edit my previous loaded items and continuing to improve the items I post moving forward. My next big challenge will be to increase my number of followers and maybe even make a sale.

Thanks again!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for ten years. The majority of those ten years were spent in middle school math classroom. Sprinkled amidst the years of math was a couple of years teaching Computer/Study Skills, a semester teaching math in an Adult Education nursing program and a semester teaching 5th grade at the Universal American School in Kuwait.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a creative, energetic person with a desire to re-ignite imagination and curiosity in the minds of the Tweens that enter my room every day. I feel that in addition to increasing their understanding of math it is my job to spark a love for learning in ALL of my students.
