rspence re: "WWW.MathScavengerHunt.Com
Sarah,

Do you have an answer key for this scavenger hunt? I realize that some of the answers are subject to change, but an "as of right now" answer key would be greatly appreciated. As a library media specilaist and a math intervention teacher at a middle school I really enjoy this activity. My students worked on it yesterday as an end of the school year activity. They learned a lot. I promised a prize to the student who answered the most questions correctly. Truth is... I'm not sure my answers are correct.

Thanks!
Rhonda

Hello!

I was just wondering, is this project 2 separate projects? It seems like there is one part where they are choosing from 7 different activities and another where they are creating graphs about data they collect from a survey? I am understanding this correctly?

Thanks!
Jessie

Hi Jessie,

Yes, these are two different projects, but decided I would just bulk them together into one item for people to purchase. I have used both in different years depending on my particular students. One year I had a very diverse group, so it fit better to give them the project with a list of options
. Another year, I needed something a bit more structured so I used the second project. Thanks for your purchse - enjoy!

:) Sarah

I did not include a map for station #2, as I used acutal-size foldable maps for Arizona that I purchased. You could download a map for Phoenix, AZ or use a map of your own city and change the names of the locations. For station #6, there should only be two shapes. You will print two copies - one will be actual size, and the other will be copied onto a transparency which the students will place on an overhead projector and then measure the shapes as they appear on the overhead screen/board as the enlarged shapes. I do not have an answer key, but will create one and when the item is edited, you should receive an email that the updates have been made and you can access without having to pay again.
