I was unable to download this product. I am not happy. Every time I try to download the "provide feedback" or whatever keeps blinking at me. I don't like being forced to give feedback, when I pay for an item I expect to be able to download and use it. Bad business...

This is one of my highest selling products and I have never had feedback about download problems and it is not me that is forcing you to provide feedback...that would be a TPT issue to bring up with TPT, I have zero control over things like that. My 3rd grade students LOVE all of the activities. They were particularly excited about doing the Homonym Hunt once they spotted all of the cards all over my classroom. Great ideas for teaching homonyms.

Yes it does. For the first grade assessment the questions are all based on the Kindergarten end-of-the-year standards. It is meant to be a beginning of the year assessment to see if there are any holes...things students forgot or didn't quite understand in Kindergarten. This can give you some great information about what you may need to back up and reteach before you move on to first grade skills. I included a tracking/rubric for each domain (geometry, counting and cardinality, operations and algebraic thinking, numbers and base ten, & measurement and data) for you to keep track of all the information, too!

On the "Good to Know" slides I explain how students begin their day on green every day and can earn a better color (blue, purple, or pink) by showing me they are following directions and being good examples. Students lose a color when they are not doing those things (yellow, orange, red). I use this system more as a positive reinforcer though, instead of having the student who is not following directions move his/her color down, I find someone who is doing what they should be doing and have them move their color up! However, there are always those few students who just don't get it and need to have the consequence of moving their color down, filling out a THINK SHEET, discussing this with mom/dad, or maybe even discussing this with the principal. The specific behaviors depend on your own class though, so I did not give lists of specific behaviors, just a few examples. I hope that helps! If not, I can make a list for you! Let me know!!

for some reason I can not get the calendar and tally pages to print. Do you know why? The only thing that prints off of those pages is the words "August" and the picture besides the words the calendar part and the lines on the tally pages will not print.

Can you see everything correctly on your PDF download? I can email you the PDF again, the same one that is uploaded but it is also the one that I have printed so I know it prints correctly. If you try and print that one and it doesn't work then we know it is something with your printer settings maybe or your version of adobe reader? I have not had anyone else report that problem though...

Yes. All of the CCSS are included in this package. I put each standard in "I can ___" form to make it easier for students to understand. The standard number is next to each I can statement for easy reference for you, too.
There are two statements per page, so they can be cut apart, laminated and posted in the classroom as you need them.
The teacher checklist has all of the statements listed as well (organized by domain) to make recording data related to the standards easier! The teacher checklist is intended to be printed for each student. I keep mine in a binder with tabs for each student, I have the check list, reading interest interview, reading and writing conferencing information, and other important paperwork I might get on a specific student. It is basically my Assessment notebook, but different than my gradebook, if that makes sense. My grade book has everything in it, this assessment binder is what I use to help me track progress and complete my report cards, and talk to parents at conferences.

Add some clipart to add color or just color some of your font. (I do, even on math tests!) For some reason buyers like color on the original even though they may copy your product in black and white. Also, create a cover page for each of your products which can then be used as an attractive thumbnail to entice buyers. You might also add a second page which is a directions or suggestions page for the teacher. (How do? How? Etc.) List several ways you use this product in your classroom. Never assume that a buyer knows how, why, or when to use your product.
I notcied you uses the footer to put the copyright symbol, your name but also add the date of creation on EVERY page. Items, especially free ones, have been "stolen" from TPT and posted on other sites to be sold. You have to protect all of your creations. Also number your pages.
