I think it would be better without the hints, but that can depend on the level of the students. Working in a diverse public school, some of the images (church, foreign language signs) make me a little nervous. Love the option of being able to add slides. Great way to get the kids excited about looking for mistakes.

I am a fourth grade writing teacher, and I was wondering if all parts of this game are appropriate for fourth graders because I noticed that the age went all the way up to twelfth grade - which is way above my kids. I was wanting to use this to review my kids before the STAAR writing test next week in Texas. Thanks!

I think this might be a little high-level for them, BUT I think they would be fine and even accelerate them a bit. It could always be modified to change any terminology needed. I would think it would be fine. Some friends have used it with fifth graders and they did well. Grammar is grammar and such.... :) Hope it helps you! Good luck on the upcoming TCAPS!

Which slide is it? Actually, I did not include the answers, as some like to use it for a test. There is one slide that I use for discussion, which is the one regarding the Georgios's Sub shop. Some areas of the country where that is a big no-no, and others, like here, where it is allowed. We discuss how grammar is debatable in some instances, but regionally, some thoughts can change. I hope this is the one of which you speak.
