Hi! I wondered if you had anything materials available that would have students practice following written directions and using/manipulating basic scientific equipment such as a metric ruler, beaker, balance scale, etc. I'm trying to prepare my students for a manipulative part of our state science test that they will take in May. Although I give them a variety of hands on experiences throughout the week regarding our topic of study, I'm looking for something where they could practice measurement each week.

Hmm....I can put something together for this in the fall. If you look at my Feather Model center students will compare and measure a real feather vs. a paper one. Is that the type of activity you are looking for?

pvgirl re: The Box Method for Multiplication
Thank you for all of your materials online. I wanted to make you aware that the multiplication box has an error in the last box (20 should be multiplied by 5--not 4) so the answer is 360.

I love all of the science materials and look forward to using some of the ideas this school year. Thanks!
