TEACHING EXPERIENCE
This is my 6th year teaching 2nd grade. I have always taught in a Title One building. I have also taught summer school in 1st grade and 3rd grade.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I use the Positive Behavior Support model in my classroom. Love and Logic is used with this model. My literacy block incorporates the Daily Five model and the 6+1 writing process.
HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY
I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri. I then continued my higher education in Curriculum and Instruction. I received my Masters degree in May of 2011 from the University of Missouri - Columbia. I am currently enrolled in the ELPA program at the University of Missouri and hope to finish by 2014!
ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
In my free time I love to run. This April I will complete my 5th half marathon.
