Just discovering these, I am using them at the end of the year. I really like the layout and the skills covered. I am discovering that I need to clarify some items for my students. (An example of this is differences in vowel sounds here in the midwest versus other parts of the country.)

I purchased the 1st grade set through Cordley Elementary a few weeks ago when I thought I was going to be teaching 1st grade. Then I was told that I would be moving to second. So on my own I purchased the second grade set. Now, I just found out that I will be moving to Kindergarten (and staying there!). I would like to keep the 1st grade set since it was through a school order. If possible, I would like to return the 2nd grade set. If you end up making a Kindergarten set I would gladly take that instead. It is a wonderful set!

I am thinking of purchasing your Second Grade Morning Work, too, but then I saw that you have Second Grade Homework as well. Do both products cover the same skills? I was thinking of using the Morning Work as actual morning work and the Homework for her to do independently during afternoon quiet time. However, I don't want to overwhelm her with too much of the same thing or she'll lose interest. Do you think I should purchase one product over the other or both? Your guidance is much appreciated. Hi! I LOVE this review of literacy and math! However, there has been some errors that I keep finding! For example 130 (Part unknown) is incorrect. It is missing an "i" and "e". 125 is missing an "a" in question number 5. 109 (Part unknown) is not correct, there is no 15 and two 5's. 120 (adding ten) there is no number 10 more than 55. 120 (vocabulary) has the wrong instructions (underline should be changed to bold). I would love them to be fixed so I can use these next year. I really like them. Just thought you would like to know. Thanks.

I think there is a mistake on #1 of the Cumulative Math Practice answer sheet. I'm pretty sure the answer is 31 feet not 27 feet. Otherwise, love everything you guys do and can't wait for third grade versions! ;)

Hello! I love this product! I have used it very successfully this year. Please look at the second sheet of number 70 and numbers 5 ( should 28+5 = 33...???) and should number 6...fill in the missing parts of the 100 chart be 26 instead of 38?

I'm not really positive when the update was made, but I'm currently (as in I'm on page 85 right now) working on a newer update that tweaks the layout a bit and adds more place value practice. If you're looking to make copies for next year, try and wait a couple weeks so you can have the newest version. I promise I'm working on it as fast as I can!

Quite a while back I asked about the 2nd grade morning work and if you had the potential for making a weekly quiz that correlated with the morning work packet. I emailed you a sample of what we had been using. I know it is busy, but I was beginning to plan for next year, make copies and remembered as several other people in my grade level have purchased the packet and were asking me if I had heard if it would be available. You can look on the outline to see what is taught each day. There isn't a specific order. It progresses from simple to complex. My advice is to look at the page before sending it home. If you haven't taught it yet, put it aside for awhile.

I purchased the 2nd Grade Fluency Homework for the current school year. It has been wonderful! However, I was wondering if there was anyway to get it so that the days that students practice are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. My school doesn't allow us to give homework on Wednesday, but I feel that my kids need the practice for four days. I completely understand if there isn't a way to do this, but I know it never hurts to ask.

I promise that we're working just as fast as we can, but pregnant Emily is trying to coordinate a cross country move right now (with a toddler under foot and a husband in school) and Heidi is a full-time teacher dealing with home renovations and a new business. It's going to take a while to be able to make a product with as high a quality as we want to produce. It will be out before school starts, but more than that we can't really say.

The standards are listed in the original homework set (we added them later so that's why they aren't on the preview) but not the I can statements. We didn't think of it until the add on pack. We do plan to eventually go back and add them and update the file but there's some other things on the to do list first.

Tigers4 re: 1st Grade Common Core Morning Workbook
I recently bought the core content morning workbook for first grade. On the computer, the pages look fine but when I copied them-some of the problems have double letters and numbers and you cannot read them. Upon looking back at the packet as seen on computer, the directions aren't on it but appear when you copy it. Is there something I can do about this? THANKS!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Sisters Heidi and Emily work together to create educational resources from different parts of the country. Heidi teaches 2nd grade and has a masters in education. Emily formerly taught 2nd grade and currently stays home with her daughter. We are passionate about making education fun for little ones and teachers alike.
