Leftymac  (TpT Seller) re: Year-long, Journaling Project (Spanish book creation)
I love this idea, but I teach French. While I could probably understand all of the Spanish in it, and adapt it to French on my own, I noticed that the preview page is entirely in Spanish (which makes sense). Do you have an English version?

I'm sorry, but I don't have a copy in English. The instructional page as a handout is completely in Spanish. The rubric, however, is in English. I don't think the Spanish is very difficult, and you could probably use it as a template for a French instructional handout for your students. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Enjoy the rest of your year!! Summer's right around the corner!

Can you tell me for what level of study these are appropriate?

Hi Lori. I use them with high school Spanish I and II. They would likely be ok for middle school as well. I always adapt them to whatever unit of vocabulary (and verb structure/tense) we are currently studying.

What are the Mi Vida Loca episodes about? Would it work for Second Year Spanish students or just 1st?
Thanks

Better for end of 1st year, beginning of 2nd year (as review). Check out the series online first and see what you think. I have written some questions from those episodes to use as worksheets, oral Q&A, or short quizzes. http://www.bbc.co.uk/languages/spanish/mividaloca/

It's easily found online. I didn't want to include it, because of copyright laws.

Teacher Concepts  (TpT Seller) re: Pobre Ana Chapter Questions and Book Test
Is there an answer key that goes with these products?

Senor Ward  (TpT Seller)
There isn't a key for the Pobre Ana questions. They are, however, very basic and go right along with the chapters in the book, so you shouldn't have any trouble. The questions were originally written to orally quiz my students after reading through each section. On occasion I would pass out the questions as individual worksheets, or as small-group written practice/reflection.

Do the questions come with an answer key? Because I didn't get one.

I'm sorry, but I didn't make a key. When we did this in class, I was busy writing the questions for discussion after each day's viewing. If it helps, the questions do go in order with the film.

Hi! I have a question about the podcast. Do you direct them to a website, they listen and answer the questions? And is there an answer key? Suzanne

The podcast lesson plan gives 5-6 different website suggestions for use with this activity. I provide instructions for how to develop some listening activities that involve at-home preparation for class participation. This is more of an upper-level Spanish lesson, but may be appropriate for Spanish 2 (second semester).

Hi Susana! I went back and added some thumbnail images for you to see. The download includes 4 pages of instruction, tips/hints (things that I'd discovered during the process that need particular attention), activity organization, lesson ideas, and a detailed rubric. Hope you have a good time with this! My students in the past have LOVED this project. Buena suerte!

I wish I had written those down. I am sorry I don't have those. I can tell you that my class periods were 50 minutes long, so if you divide the length of the movie up by 50-minute class periods, it should be pretty close. Hope that helps some.

Thanks one more question. Is it for fashion art students in HS?

Senor Ward  (TpT Seller)
I think it would work really well! Foreign language teachers use it to practice clothing vocab and verbs in the target language. I think art students would find it creative as well (although they wouldn't be speaking in a foreign language...) Give it a shot. You'll be surprised at how creative they can be. Show them the pictures I've attached to give them an idea of what they should create.

It's a simple plan in English. The lesson can be done with any foreign language; it's easily adaptable. The download also has a few photos so you can see how much fun the kids had with the activity!

Would this game work for English, not just a foreign language?

I use it to have students practice different verb conjugations and tenses. For example, student A calls out "You played" (in Spanish) and if student B has a boat in that location on his/her board, the reply is "hit."

So yes, it could work with basic English verb tenses, although I have not done that. You could use present tense, past, the gerund forms, past participles, etc.
