pstrupp re: Evita movie questions
Do the questions come with an answer key? Because I didn't get one.

I'm sorry, but I didn't make a key. When we did this in class, I was busy writing the questions for discussion after each day's viewing. If it helps, the questions do go in order with the film.

Hi! I have a question about the podcast. Do you direct them to a website, they listen and answer the questions? And is there an answer key? Suzanne

The podcast lesson plan gives 5-6 different website suggestions for use with this activity. I provide instructions for how to develop some listening activities that involve at-home preparation for class participation. This is more of an upper-level Spanish lesson, but may be appropriate for Spanish 2 (second semester).

I am organizing a group of students to teach elementary Spanish. I am interested in your ideas...however can I get a sample or more info about what I am purchasing to see if it will fit with what I am planning??

Thanks,

Hi Susana! I went back and added some thumbnail images for you to see. The download includes 4 pages of instruction, tips/hints (things that I'd discovered during the process that need particular attention), activity organization, lesson ideas, and a detailed rubric. Hope you have a good time with this! My students in the past have LOVED this project. Buena suerte!

I wish I had written those down. I am sorry I don't have those. I can tell you that my class periods were 50 minutes long, so if you divide the length of the movie up by 50-minute class periods, it should be pretty close. Hope that helps some.

Thanks one more question. Is it for fashion art students in HS?

I think it would work really well! Foreign language teachers use it to practice clothing vocab and verbs in the target language. I think art students would find it creative as well (although they wouldn't be speaking in a foreign language...) Give it a shot. You'll be surprised at how creative they can be. Show them the pictures I've attached to give them an idea of what they should create.

It's a simple plan in English. The lesson can be done with any foreign language; it's easily adaptable. The download also has a few photos so you can see how much fun the kids had with the activity!

Would this game work for English, not just a foreign language?

I use it to have students practice different verb conjugations and tenses. For example, student A calls out "You played" (in Spanish) and if student B has a boat in that location on his/her board, the reply is "hit."

So yes, it could work with basic English verb tenses, although I have not done that. You could use present tense, past, the gerund forms, past participles, etc.
