In my brief 2-year teaching career I have taught Spanish to grades K-adult. I taught grades 1-8 for one year, and this year I teach Kindergarten Spanish, and Spanish levels 1-3 to grades 8-12. I also teach a Spanish for Nurses course to a small group of nurses in a hospital setting. I hope to gain more experience as I continue my career!
I try to let the students do as much as possible to pilot their own learning. I step in when needed, and give extra attention to those students who need it. I fully believe that students should learn to take responsibility for their own learning with guidance from the teacher.
At IUPUI I was named on of IUPUI's top 100 students. While at IUPUI I also received an Outstanding Future Educator Award from the IACTE and the IU School of Education at IUPUI Everett E Jarboe award for excellence in academic studies and service to the community and school.
I graduated with Highest Distinction from the IU School of Education at IUPUI with a Bachelor of Science in Education. I am licensed to teach Spanish to grades 5-12.
I live in central Indiana with my husband, and I love my life. Teaching is my passion, and I wouldn't give it up for anything. :)
