TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for 13 years. For most of my teaching career, I have taught kindergarten. One year I looped with my class to 1st grade. This is my 3rd year teaching 1st grade self-contained gifted. It is very challenging and a lot of fun!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in setting high expectations because the students will rise to them. I also believe in using hands-on activities to keep my students moving. Using songs to teach lessons I believe is very valuable. The students seem to recall information well when it is set to rhythm.
