I'm sorry that the package seemed to be incomplete. It was a 17-page PowerPoint file, but maybe there was an issue between different versions of PowerPoint. I've changed the package to be a 17-page PDF file instead, since PDF's are much more compatible and easier to deal with. If that doesn't work for you, please reach out to me again. You can use one die (4-sided or 6-sided) or a spinner. Usually two children play at one time. I use game pieces from old Monopoly or Sorry games to move along the paths. The children roll the die, move that number of spaces, say the word they landed on, and use it in a sentence. If they don't know the word, they can ask their partner. I usually have one student in kindergarten who knows all his/her sight words, and the other children know that they can go to that student if they can't read the words. Let me know if this helps.

Most of those word families have entire sheets (or several sheets) dedicated to them, while a few are part of variety sheets that use members of several word families on one page. If you have any other questions, please ask again!

But I have now succeeded in adjusting the legal-size file to fit on regular letter-size paper. I think I have modified the five senses package to included the adjusted PDF. Laurie, the Five Senses Graphic Organizers package includes 4 PowerPoint files, 3 of which are for normal size paper. The 4th file is meant to print on Legal size paper (8.5" x 14"). I'm guessing those are the pages you're talking about. Are you able to print on Legal size paper to make those print out correctly? If not, maybe I can find a way to shrink those pages down to 8.5" x 11" for you. The text and pictures would then be a bit smaller than intended, and there would be a little blank space along the edges, but at least you could still use them. Let me know. Thanks!

Let me see if I understand this correctly, the children roll a die and move their piece the number rolled. They then say the word they land on. Whoever reaches the finish block first wins, correct?

Sheri: Yes, that is correct. What I do with my kids is I let them help each other. If child A does not know the word, child B can tell them. Also, after one child reaches the finish, that child lets the other keep rolling and saying the words until they reach the end too. I teach kindergarten in the public school system, and my kids know that the point of the game is to learn their sight words, so they're not exceedingly competitive.
