Hi Kris,
The game board is simply the plain white pages that have multiple prepositions (page 4 and page 11). That is the page that they will mark off the prepositions used - I left them white to help distinguish them from all the other playing pieces, I am sorry I should have clarified it better. I hope this makes sense, if you have any other questions please let me know.

I bought the Reading Skills and Strategies inspired by Gingerbread Baby and the first day I downloaded some activities I was ok. I have tried on 2 other occasions to download activities and Adobe freezes up on me. I am having to grab the photo and put it on a word document to print it out. Is there some sort of kink. Hello,
I am writing you in regards to the Teacher Appreciation Jack Pot. I made a huge error. I was so excited on Sunday I spent hours and hours on a very slow computer going to every site that participated. I might have looked around a bit and became a follower. I was so inspired by all of you bloggers. Anyways, I went to every single site and added the TPA Freebie to my wishlist because the computer I was on has a virus and was not cooperating. SSSLLLOOOWWW!!!! So I thought if I just add it to my wish list on Monday morning I will download them on my school computer where I do all or most of my school work anyway. I was so excited I woke up super early so I could get to school and download them. Come to find out you had to pay for them. I wanted to cry. I emailed tpt and when they finally got back to me they said unfortunately there was nothing they could do. I was suppose to download them. I don’t recall ever reading that anywhere but I am very new to all of this. They said I had to email each one of you individually. Yes, then and there I just about started to cry. I had 120 items I added to my wishlist. I was on the computer all day Sunday doing this.
I am just wondering if you would be so kind to email or what ever you have to do so that I can download your freebie. I thought I would try! Thank you for your creative inspiring blog!!

It really depends on your class and which activity your are asking about.
Vocabulary - done while you read the book, whole group.
Sequencing - done after you read the book, either as a center activity or in a small group so you can monitor their sequencing.
Visualizing - do whole group as you read the book, or it can be done if you read the book as small groups.
Story Mapping - done after you read the story in either a small group or as whole group, whatever is easier.
Asking Questions - do this while you read giving students time to write. Again this can be done either small or whole group.
Predicting - do this activity as you read the story stopping so they can make predictions. Either whole group (on class chart) or small group, whichever is easier.
Making Connections - done while reading if whole group it can be a class chart, or small group on the worksheet.
Inferencing - this can be done after reading. Depending on the level of the kids they can try on their own or with a partner, or as whole or small group.
Leveled Questions - are just for you to use if you need to dig deeper into their comprehension.
I am not sure if I answered your question but it really depends on the level of your kids. I really like doing whole group and using a class chart. Sometimes I will have them copy the chart onto their paper adding one of their own and other times they give it a try on their own. When they do it on their own I can see if they are understanding that strategy or skill.

Sequencing - done after you read the book, either as a center activity or in a small group so you can monitor their sequencing.
Visualizing - do whole group as you read the book, or it can be done if you read the book as small groups.
Story Mapping - done after you read the story in either a small group or as whole group, whatever is easier.
Asking Questions - do this while you read giving students time to write. Again this can be done either small or whole group.
Predicting - do this activity as you read the story stopping so they can make predictions. Either whole group (on class chart) or small group, whichever is easier.
Making Connections - done while reading if whole group it can be a class chart, or small group on the worksheet.
Inferencing - this can be done after reading. Depending on the level of the kids they can try on their own or with a partner, or as whole or small group.
Leveled Questions - are just for you to use if you need to dig deeper into their comprehension.
I am not sure if I answered your question but it really depends on the level of your kids. I really like doing whole group and using a class chart. Sometimes I will have them copy the chart onto their paper adding one of their own and other times they give it a try on their own. When they do it on their own I can see if they are understanding that strategy or skill.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I am a 10 year teacher with experience in every grade level. Once my school decided to adopt reading workshop, I was hooked. The problem I found was that I had plenty of picture books to choose from but finding the right book to teach the right skill or strategy proved to be very time consuming. From that came this idea of creating a packet with every possible skill or strategy that could be used with that particular picture book. These packets include the questions and graphic organizers needed to teach, practice, and master that skill or strategy.
