I have high school students and I felt that if they had links to the info, it would be way too easy for them. I teach them ways to search the internet more successfully and I use these in order to practice and strengthen these skills. I'm sorry it didn't work well for you.

I had a great time using this as a guideline to create my own overall unit on researching an unsolved mystery. I also added in a parental permission to cover the violent or more adult content. Some of my kids even dressed up to present their info in order to play a part of their research. Thanks for the hard work!

y students really enjoyed working on this the two days before Thanksgiving Break! They learned a lot about traditions, recipes, and the fun of Thanksgiving! I was also a great review in technology skills (my favorite part!) I will be using again next year.

Awesome! I know...some of the mysteries are a bit gruesome...my high schoolers tend to love that kind of stuff. I would definitely replace a few if I were teaching younger students as well...glad you enjoyed it though!

Yes...you definitely could. You could use this as a traditional research paper or a video montage, etc. The assignment is based on the information the student needs to find out and report on. The way in which it is reported is not exclusive. I hope you enjoy it!

It will work, yes, but the names of some of the tools, such as Autoshapes is now called Shapes, etc. It is the same lesson plan I used for the previous version of Word but I just went through and changed a little bit of the wording to make more sense using the new version. It would only take a few minutes to change it back if you wanted to use it. I hope this helps.

Oh my goodness...I just saw this question! Talk about late...sorry. My lessons are based on the Mac 2004 version of MS Office...however, I just started using the new version...so I can update anything...I plan to go through all of my lessons and revise if needed. It would be a great idea to do a lesson on using the new format specifically though. I think I will! If you are interested in seeing what I come up with or giving me some feedback, I would love it.
