Not sure what you mean by the quality of the crafts. The crafts provided were those in the picture for the product cover. The quality really is going to depend on the paper you use and the support you give your kids in completing the craft. Is there something more specific you could say other than the quality so that I could improve the product? But again, the crafts were those provided in the picture. I personally really like doing my units this way, everything is in one little book... even the craft.

Unfortunately this can not be updated to scale. I could only fit about 3 letters per page and most words are more than 3 letters. I am very sorry. I did try for you all when I updated the alphabet set. Start with the alphabet with the kids and they will have an easier time with the words. I am also updating my monthly sets to scale. I love this unit; however, I was dismayed that the patterns for the animals are so very light that I will not be able to use them as blacklines. The dotted lines for writing the animal reports are also too light for me to use those pages for blacklines.

It looks as if the borders are fuzzy as well. With regards to the craft part... I will retrace them darker and see if that helps. On page 25 the kids trace "we" but it isn't in the sentence to be filled in--is that the way you wanted the sentence to read--the kids have to add a word to fill in the blank but it is not the word "we" that they would have traced. Otherwise I like the product very much!

I just wanted you to know that I did the fruit loop necklace idea too and it was all that you mentioned on your blog! I did have to put tape on the ends of the strings but I also taped one end to their table---that helped a lot. I also had them put on 10, 20, 30, etc for every ten fruit loops. Yes it took time but very rewarding and I put them into ziplock bags to take home. The next day all of my kids could count to 100 by 1's and 10's! I am definitely doing it next year!

I purchased the number, zoo and alphabet snap cube center cards on Super Bowl Sunday (during the sale). I love the cards. I printed and laminated the cards for my small groups and centers. When I used the cards in my small groups, my snap cubes are just a little big bigger than the printed cards and the numbers look like a big blab to the students. Is there a way to print the cards so that the squares are bigger or can you make the squares bigger so that they fit the cubes? I teach PreK in a public school, mixed 3 and 4 year olds, and I have 14 3 year olds this year. So it would help if the cubes were more accurately matched to the actual size of the cubes. I apologize... I am actually I. The process of redoing my snap cube centers based on this feedback. I updated the alphabet set this last weekend... Do you have that update? The other two I will move to the top of the list to update for you. Some snap cube center cards can be made to scale and others cannot because they would be too big for a full sheet of paper. I believe those two will be ok though. :-). I will email you directly as well.

Hi! I too believe if you can write 0-9 then you can write any number. (I just told a parent that at conference.) With that being said, I find it very difficult to find any practice for y numbers after 10 for my preschoolers. Were you able to add the remaining numbers through 20? If you could replicate the worksheets from 0-9 for the teen numbers, that would work because you have so many different ones. That would offer lots and lots of practice for the teens through 20! Love ur work and the freebies, too!!

Hi. I just purchased this set and I was wondering why the book print a is used on the 'a' page? Also, the 'red' page is missing its tracing element. I was also surprised to see the mixed mode of d'nealian and standard between the large word and what they are tracing (My district does not use d'nealian, so for me, standard form is ideal). I'm not trying to be picky, just thought I would ask. I've loved your other products, but was a little bummed with this one.

You know... :-) I tried to make it look like a Snowy Owl as best I could. I had trouble because to make it have the white and gray it would have lots of small pieces. I guess you could do it on gray instead of brown. Some people may not have gray construction paper though. I will add that to the paper as well though. I think without having lots of small pieces to cut that this would be the best option.

This is awesome! I have thought about doing this with my cubes, but haven't tried it yet. I love the idea of having cards to look at. I've had my students do this with Legos as well, but it's sometimes hard for them because I've never made any models for them to look at. Do you have anything like this with Legos, or, do you have the capability to make something like this with Legos?

Baseline Learning (TpT Seller) re: Sight Word Snap Cubes - Pre-Primer & Primer List
The list in your pre-primer and primer set seem almost identical. Is it worth paying more money for a couple of words , or is this list an error? I was expecting at least the double amount of words.

Love the poems and thank you for sharing. The poem that begins with "S is for snowman" has a typo I think. The line that says "took him outside ...and then he went flat" I think should say "took him inside"... I wasn't able to change the poem. Would you check to see if it should be changed? I am a first grade teacher. It lists first grade too. Are their forms that are just for first grade or do we have to use the kindergarten forms to create those in this packet?

Some first grades do tests that are listed, that's why I stated fort as well. It really depends on your school. If your school is old school and more developmental I would say it would fit for you. If it is rigorous and strict towards learning... I would say no. Also, I am very willing to add any forms you want for free. (I just can't do reading passages because I don't know what would be appropriate and how to level.). But I welcome any ideas and suggestions if there are checklists you need that are not included!

No sorry. I have snap cubes coming out the kazoo! :-) My girlfriend literally just added me to a fb teacher trading group... First thing on there was a big bucket of snap cubes! LOL.

Oh no I don't. I am so sorry. I would say maybe just a small set woul work for a center. Well depending on which set you get, the sight words are going to take more snap cubes than just the letters. Maybe try eBay for some Cheap ones.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have taught for 9 years. Most has been in low-income areas and with second language learners. I have taught Kindergarten, 3rd, 4th, and technology. Kinder is where my heart is! I have also taught at the National I Teach Kindergarten conference in Las Vegas! I would say that was the highlight of my career, but how can you surpass teaching kids to read? =)
